*~Lucien's POV~*
No! Stop that nonsense you're spewing out of your mouth! I barked.
"She cannot die!"
"Oh, she is," Fake Penny said.
I immediately charged..
"Versa!" she said again as another wave of power crossed over to me, but I dodged it instantly.
Then I grabbed the neck of the "Penny" Damien and the others had already distracted the rest. All in all, I pressed "Penny" against the wall.
"Where is Gabrielle now? Tell me!"
"My job is done," she hissed. "I've lured her to where she's going to die. You're going to lose her..again. Once again, you can't protect her."
She said it looking straight into my eyes, like it meant something more…something deeper.
I tightened my hold around her neck. "You'd rather die than tell me where my wife is?"
"Yes, Lucien. Kill me."
Then she twisted free, wiping the blood off her mouth.
I knew it was pointless to force her. "She should be on the southern side," I thought to myself.
