I stumbled rising and scrammed away from the Commander. More rocks followed, the gnomes started to panic, and the dwarfs used the commotion and raged against the knights. Every one of my steps landed in spots different from what I aimed for. In addition to my dizzy vision, the floor kept moving as it waved up and down. I fell a few times and crashed on the corpses, luckily got my hands on a loaded arm. It was a two-barrel, like an Ant but was steady and flat like a crossbow with barrels blown like the Eagle.
The machines and the tracks hung down from the top storeys, the trams floated in the magic, hot metal poured like a cascade, and knights occupied every storey armed and active, but my only fear was the Knight Commander.
Something kept pulling me to the centre, I adapted to run in a circle along with the spinning, I climbed above the rocks and jumped from the cliff and got into the inventory elevation through a hanging track. The knights from the inventory started to rush, so I used the arm. It sliced a knight's arm from his shoulder and spread to the chest. The knights behind him jumped into covers behind the weapon trams and tossed grenades. I was forced to slide behind a collapsed tram. One of the grenades caught the tram behind me, it threw me forward along with a burst of arms. There were seven of them each armed with non-elemental weapons save one with the Ant.
I threw the double barrel and caught my hands on a long barrel Eagle from the junk as I rolled to a better cover, The rage followed. I waited for it to slow down and finally when I heard the clack, I peeked out and shot a knight in a raging position. I ducked again and waited for another knight but was saved by a rock. It rolled all the way through the edges and crushed them. I stuck to the wall when it passed me. I grabbed the Ant and climbed above to take cover but was spotted by the Commander. His arm created a wave of fire. I raced with it and jumped behind a wrecked machine, There was a clack, and his communicator made it loud. Beside him were two element cylinders. I aimed the Eagle and exploded one of them. Before I could go for the next he had loaded the Ant, The machine sunk into the floor like melting ice with each hit.
I didn't dare to go behind another tram, a heap of unfinished arms had poured from above blocking the path. It slowly declined like a heap of cotton being blown by the wind, and joined with the other floating objects, circling along with the spin.
An angry barbaric dwarf, a foot shorter than Armdan, raged behind the Knight Commander. I bolted in that small gap of firing, it felt light as I climbed, a part of the magic was still alive I noticed and it reacted with the spin. I jumped behind the heap taking advantage of the thrust. Knights. They stormed behind the heap. I had to jump into the bridge below me and run. The tracks started to bend as they did the same. It became more like climbing than running, the trams on the track started slowly to race towards us. They picked up speed, and I shifted the tracks and missed them. But the knights got smashed one by one. I jumped on a piece of floor that floated around. I strived to catch my breath but the Commander's sudden fire made me jump again. I caught an edge. The firing stopped, and I was relieved as it was his last cylinder.
But he threw away the arm and unveiled a long steel blade, a sharp, well-balanced blade with a long grip. The quillons extended to the length of the grip, and the flat-sided reflected the lights like a plain mirror.
I was frozen for a second, unable to trigger, unable to move, unable to run. Another group attacked him, this time it was a bunch of haired dwarfs. I caught a hanging machine and made the climb. I tried to climb as far as I could from him. When I caught an edge and pulled myself, I trembled at the big figure above me. It was an orc-sized headless mole from the mill. I instantly lost my hold and fell on a bridge two storeys below and caught between the knights. They were all armed with blades and hammers, one even had a mace larger than my head. A huge body fell from above and caught them all, broke the bridge and fell to the ground. It was a giant spider but made of a metal similar to the Mole. Part of the bridge supported by the cliff stayed above. I stood there exposed and had no place to move. The Commander was about to throw the blade at me when the ground started to pop with random explosions. The metal cascade had reached the element storage causing explosions. The knights rushed. I did the last thing that would come to my mind. I took the biggest leap I never dared until then. I landed my legs straight on the Commander's chest, sinking him into the ground. The explosions spread randomly, creating raining sand by opening the upper layer of the ground. Machines and rocks jumped and bounced back in the explosion. Wherever I turned it exploded like a bud or was already filled with burning fire. I jumped to my feet when I noticed the Dwarves' corpses around me. The commander waved his blade. I jumped away and missed it. I turned back and took another chance, I walked backwards as I fired the Ant until I heard the clack, until it shattered his mighty blade into pieces.
He didn't stop. He kept gaining towards me with his hand above his face. The fire spread to his shoulders, his cloak turned into dust. He dropped the hand revealing the skin covered in grey, and the broken soul in his eyes slowly turning into anger. He suddenly paused. Eight giant metal legs emerged from the ground behind him, he put his hands down and caught the pair of jaws around his waist. He pulled them and turned around spreading his hands wide, which split the metal spider into two. The legs smashed the ground dead. He threw the jaw down and caught a rock that bumped into him. It was twice his size. I stepped back, I could see his armour cracking above his muscles when he swung it. It came to me, touched my face and squeezed it under. I rolled over several times before I lay dead.
My eyes refused to open, I felt my heart thumping aloud, and a metal boot landed on my chest. He was over me, standing above like every man in the legends, his blonde hair waved in pride, and his armour glowed with the bright flame of victory.
I saw the rock flying above him. I felt the cracks expand under me, and he flew from me, in just a tiny snap. The ground raised, and I felt something pulling me. I held tight, but it didn't work, I was in the air flying, circling along with the other things. The good side of my face smashed against the wall and dragged with the thrust, Everything spun and smashed against each other. I was thrown to the bright thick slit on a metal gate. I tore the gate and rolled out into the grassland.
An explosion. Behind me, throwing more junk and blinding light, I was almost dead but my eyes were wide open. Beside me a knight lay without a head, the day was as bright as when I went in. I lifted my head to see that beautiful green gate burning. I was out. Two big figures walked before me.
"Father-"
The other one was Red Beard, his hands extended towards me, holding a Bulldog. A long bright green lead emerged through it, came straight to me like a drop of blood, penetrated through my forehead, and made my head smash against the ground.
