With the Endless Dusk Citadel barely holding together, Draconis summoned what strength he had left and swung his Regalia Blade at the ruins of the academy's old sports field.
The ground, already shattered from the earlier battles, crumbled further under the sword's arc, revealing a hollow beneath. At its heart, the magic circle's core glowed with a brewing energy—massive, unstable, and seconds from detonating.
Not quite Kokabiel-level, but if it blew, half the city would be wiped out. And with the barrier gone, there was nothing to stop it.
Draconis didn't hesitate. He zeroed in on the core and brought the Regalia Blade down hard.
The energy inside flared—violent, hungry, ready to tear everything apart.
He raised his left hand. Overhead, the ancient citadel descended, pressing down from the sky. Its sheer bulk and power radiated a crushing majesty that made the world seem to shrink beneath it.
Draconis looked up at the black city, hope flickering in his eyes. All those sleepless nights, all that training and pushing his limits—finally, he could control a sliver of its true power.
He still didn't know everything this city could do, but one thing was certain: it could handle this explosion.
Right on cue, the magic circle went off.
A tidal wave of energy erupted, flipping the ruined ground upside down. The shockwave rushed outward, but Draconis was ready.
Golden veins lit up along the citadel's walls, spreading like wildfire. For a moment, the ancient city seemed to wake from its slumber.
His Divine Lament Shield shot forward, hovering in midair and blazing with silver light as Draconis poured every last drop of magic into it.
The drain was brutal—worse than he expected. He gritted his teeth, burning through life force just to keep the shield powered.
Space itself trembled. A golden light exploded from the citadel, blanketing everything below.
Draconis watched as the explosion's fury hit the shield—and vanished. Nothing was destroyed. Everything inside the golden glow was frozen in place.
Stasis.
The realization hit him: this was the Divine Lament Shield's true power. If the Regalia Blade brought judgment, the shield delivered mercy—a wide-area defense that could stop even the wildest destruction.
Both abilities required the Endless Dusk Citadel to be active—a ridiculous prerequisite, but the payoff was insane.
After just a few seconds, the aftershocks faded. Draconis, though, was spent—magic and life force nearly gone.
At least it was recoverable. The weakness, though, was overwhelming.
He couldn't hold the citadel any longer. It vanished from the sky, and Draconis collapsed, dropping like a stone.
Rias and the others rushed to catch him, hearts aching at the sight of his pale face.
"Draconis… I'm sorry. You shouldn't have to suffer like this…" Rias stroked his cheek, eyes full of worry and love.
Asia, tears streaming down her face, forced herself to use Twilight Healing, channeling life force into Draconis despite her own exhaustion.
He didn't protest. He had nothing left. As his body finally relaxed, a wave of dizziness swept over him—and then, darkness.
He passed out cold.
Seeing him unconscious, Rias and the others panicked.
"Get him home—fast. We need to restore his life force and magic, now."
Rias and Akeno hoisted him up. Rias turned to Koneko: "Koneko, go explain things to President Sona. We'll handle the rest here."
"Okay." Koneko nodded, gave Draconis a worried look, and hurried off.
…
Draconis drifted in a fog for what felt like ages before his mind finally clawed its way back to consciousness.
He cracked his eyes open, blinking at a curtain of golden hair. With effort, he lifted his head—his brain still throbbing—and saw Asia's adorable sleeping face.
On his other side, steady breathing. He turned and found Rias, her beauty undiminished even in sleep.
They must have spent hours restoring his magic and life force.
Draconis's gaze softened. He savored the warmth of their bodies against his, then closed his eyes and focused inward.
Since he was awake, he might as well get a jump on his recovery. He forced himself into meditation, pushing through the lingering exhaustion until his body felt almost normal again.
He let out a long breath, rolled over, and hugged Asia's soft form. This time, he fell into a deep, peaceful sleep.
Somewhere in the haze, he started to dream—his body growing hot, his mind drifting.
In the dream, he was caught by a succubus, forced to endure her relentless attention. He was too weak to fight back, drained until he was foaming at the mouth and nearly dead before finally jolting awake.
That was… intense.
He blinked, trying to shake off the strange dream, when he felt movement in the blankets.
He glanced over and saw the covers shifting. Out from beneath them, Akeno slowly emerged.
"…"
Their eyes met. Draconis was at a loss for words.
He looked to either side—Asia and Rias still slept soundly.
Why was Akeno in his bed, too?
She was just as bare as the other two, and Draconis didn't even know where to start.
"What are you…?"
Akeno grinned. "I knew you'd recovered. Seeing you so lively, I couldn't help but give you a little love."
She pressed herself against him, her body warm and impossibly soft.
Honestly, she was every bit Rias's equal.
So that dream… was Akeno's handiwork?
"Akeno, you really snuck a feast, huh…"
Draconis wrapped his arms around her waist, enjoying the feel of her.
She giggled. "I couldn't help it. Rias and Asia have been hogging you for days. I was so jealous."
Akeno stroked his cheek, her smile gentle.
"I came to check on you yesterday and saw you training. I knew you'd recovered, so I snuck in early this morning to surprise you. Like it?"
Draconis couldn't help recalling the dream—Akeno's technique was something else. She was a natural.
"I liked it," he admitted, smiling. "How long was I out?"
"Three days and two nights. Your body was in self-protection mode. All four of us took turns restoring your magic—you drained us all."
"Hm? You and Koneko too…?"
"Yep. Too bad you missed Koneko's adorable face~"
Akeno teased, and Draconis coughed, "I guess I owe everyone a thank you…"
"As long as you're better, that's enough." Akeno smiled.
Just then, she glanced to the side, eyes twinkling. Rias was awake and glaring daggers.
"Akeno, what do you think you're doing?"
Akeno just smiled. "Showing a little love to our cute junior. Is that a problem?"
"I'm more than enough for that," Rias replied coldly.
Akeno ignored her, her smile never wavering. "Selfish, aren't you? Planning to keep him all to yourself?"
Rias snapped, unleashing a burst of magic that sent Akeno flying off Draconis.
Akeno's wings flared as she hovered in midair, totally unconcerned that she was putting on a show for Draconis. "So sly, Rias. You hog him every day. This was my one chance."
"I'm not giving him up!"
Rias grabbed a pillow, charged it with magic, and hurled it at Akeno.
Crack!
Akeno's fingers danced with golden lightning as she blasted the pillow apart, filling the room with a cloud of white down.
"Uh… what's going on?" Asia's sleepy voice piped up. She blinked at the floating feathers, confused.
"Nothing, Asia. Go back to sleep." Draconis smiled, gently pulling her into his arms.
Asia melted against him, blissfully ignoring the chaos, her face aglow with happiness as she drifted off again.
Draconis held the little nun, his hands idly tracing her curves, watching Rias and Akeno's battle with amused detachment.
Waking up to this kind of drama—honestly, even heaven couldn't compete.
He didn't mind the so-called battlefield at all.
Actually, it was pretty harmonious.
Rias and Akeno nearly wrecked his room, but in the end, seeing Asia monopolize Draconis while they fought in vain, they both gave up, sulking.
"How did things turn out?" Draconis asked, getting dressed after watching the impromptu naked wrestling match. "Anything happen while I was out?"
"Nothing," Rias replied, tossing her crimson hair and shooting Akeno a look before getting dressed. "School's been closed for repairs ever since the destruction."
"Uh… that can't last forever, right?"
Draconis winced. His sword had done most of the damage.
"Don't worry. I've got people fixing it. With magic, it'll be good as new in a week."
Akeno slipped into her clothes, smiling. "President Sona also used memory magic to calm the students. No problems there."
"Good…" Draconis sighed, realizing he'd been out for three days. Mai Sakurajima and the Nakano girls were probably blowing up his phone.
"Thinking about your human girlfriend?" Rias asked, her tone a little jealous. She wanted to keep Draconis all to herself, but knew it wasn't possible.
Draconis smiled. "I'll spend the next few days with her. Won't be back at night."
"What? You're not coming home at night?!"
"Ara ara, I'll be lonely too…" Akeno teased.
Draconis rubbed his forehead. These two clearly had plans for the night.
Especially Akeno—sneaking a feast while he was helpless, draining his reserves, and still wanting more…
"Spending time with my girlfriend is only fair," Draconis said. He leaned in, kissed both girls on the cheek, waved, and left the bedroom.
Out in the living room, he found Koneko sitting primly on the sofa, quietly watching TV with a half-eaten strawberry daifuku in her hands.
