"DXD: Transfer Student"Chapter 222: Nino's "Discomfort"
Nino's body froze for a heartbeat, then melted into Draconis Yi's kiss, shyness blooming on her cheeks.
She remembered the last time she'd stolen a kiss—her nerves had ruined the taste, leaving only a blurry memory and a lingering regret. Her sisters had been right there, watching like hawks. She'd been so desperate to stake her claim that she'd missed the real moment.
But now, with everyone else gone, she could finally savor it.
Nino lost herself in the warmth, arms winding around his neck, giving in completely to the rush of intimacy.
Electricity danced through her veins as Draconis Yi's lips wandered to her neck.
She felt herself floating—soon, the world faded, leaving only the two of them.
—
Elsewhere, Ichika and Miku had claimed their own hot spring room.
"Ahh~ This is heaven. I swear all my stress just vanished," Ichika sighed, sinking into the steaming pool with a blissful smile.
Miku let her towel drop, pale skin slipping beneath the surface. The heat soothed every muscle, her mind drifting in contentment.
With her hair wrapped in a towel, only her neck and head peeked above the water. She leaned back against the stone wall, eyes closed, a look of pure satisfaction on her face.
"Oh, hey, Miku—have you seen Nino?" Ichika asked, puzzled. "I passed her room and it was empty…"
Miku didn't open her eyes. "No idea. Maybe she went out too."
"Probably. Yotsuba and Itsuki are out, too. Every time we come here, they run wild," Ichika laughed, shaking her head.
Just then, a strange sound drifted from behind the partition—almost like someone crying, but not quite.
Ichika and Miku both tilted their heads.
"Miku, did you hear something?"
"Hmm… yeah, kind of. Almost sounded like Nino," Miku murmured, glancing at the partition.
They listened, but the sound faded away.
…Probably just their imagination. Maybe something from outside.
Shrugging it off, they sank back into their soak.
—
Behind the partition, Draconis Yi had already sensed the others nearby. With Yotsuba and Itsuki still out, it had to be Ichika and Miku next door.
"Looks like Ichika and Miku are right beside us," Draconis Yi whispered.
Nino tensed instantly, guilt written all over her face. She pressed her hands against his shoulders, voice a panicked whisper:
"Stop—seriously, they'll hear us…"
Draconis Yi just grinned. "At a time like this? Impossible."
Nino was torn between embarrassment and thrill, her nerves on fire.
Finally, she gave in—meeting him halfway, then biting his shoulder in a desperate attempt to stay quiet.
"Ugh…"
Draconis Yi winced, half amused, half exasperated.
Good thing he'd dropped his protective magic, or Nino might've hurt herself with that bite.
Actually, he'd already set up a barrier once he realized the others might overhear—not a sound would escape.
He'd meant to tease Nino, but her reaction was priceless.
Watching her, so nervous yet unable to stop, Draconis Yi couldn't help but smile.
Nino really was, as Ichika said, a runaway love train—no brakes, no stopping.
—
After a long soak, Ichika and Miku emerged, wrapped in matching bathrobes. They found Yotsuba and Itsuki back from their adventure, arms full of late-night snacks.
"Whoa, look at all this food!" Ichika squealed, rubbing her hands together. "This is a rare treat—let's go wild!"
"Where's Nino and Draconis Yi? Let's call them over," Yotsuba said, scanning the room.
"I'll go find them. I ate too much anyway—need the exercise," Itsuki said, heading out.
She searched the house, then wandered to the hot spring area, where she spotted Nino standing awkwardly at the mixed bath entrance.
"Nino!" Itsuki called.
"Ah!"
Nino jumped, startled. "I-Itsuki?"
"I brought snacks. Ichika and the others are waiting for you," Itsuki said, eyeing Nino curiously. "What are you doing here? Thinking of trying the mixed bath?"
Clearly, Itsuki was thinking about Draconis Yi and Nino's usual boldness.
"As if!" Nino snapped, flustered. "I'm going to bed."
"Not hungry?"
"What's so great about snacks…"
No way was she admitting she'd already had her fill.
Itsuki watched Nino walk away, puzzled—her steps looked oddly stiff.
At that moment, Draconis Yi stepped out of his room, still in his white yukata.
"Itsuki?"
"Ah, Draconis Yi! I brought snacks. Want some?"
"Sure, let's see what you've got," he smiled.
But Itsuki was still worried.
"Um… is Nino feeling okay?"
"What's wrong?"
"She was walking kind of weird…"
Draconis Yi's eyes flickered with amusement.
"She said her legs went numb from standing too long."
Itsuki tilted her head, confused. Of course, Draconis Yi wouldn't elaborate—if Nino's secret got out, she'd never live it down.
"Is that so…"
"Exactly." Draconis Yi nodded solemnly.
Truth was, Nino wasn't uncomfortable at all—quite the opposite.
And as for her awkward walk… well, first time standing, it was to be expected.
—
Since dinner hadn't been long ago, nobody ate much of the snacks.
Draconis Yi and the girls were light eaters—none could match Itsuki's appetite.
After sampling a few bites, everyone retreated to their rooms, worn out from travel, class, and hot springs.
Draconis Yi returned to his room, checked the clock—barely 10:30. No way he was ready for sleep.
He flipped on the TV, browsing for a movie. Sure enough, Mai Sakurajima was on screen—she'd landed a new role and would be busy for months. He didn't want to bother her, so he settled for calls and watching her films.
—
Next door, Ichika and Miku were both wrestling with indecision.
Ever since their confessions, both wanted to be bold like Nino—visit Draconis Yi, take a chance. But when the moment came, nerves won out.
Still… he was their boyfriend now, wasn't he?
Ichika took a breath, patted her cheeks, and stepped to her door—just as she saw Miku already standing in front of Draconis Yi's room.
Ichika froze, ducking back inside.
"I wanted to chat, if that's okay…" she heard Miku say.
Draconis Yi's gentle reply: "Of course."
The door closed; Miku had gone in.
Ichika smiled wryly. She'd hesitated for just a second—and her sister beat her to it.
Oh well. Tomorrow, maybe.
—
Miku stepped into Draconis Yi's room, cheeks glowing pink, looking adorable in her bathrobe—slim waist, soft curves, her nervous energy palpable.
Draconis Yi, having already spent time with Nino, couldn't help but compare the two—though, truth be told, all five sisters were equally well-developed.
"Do you usually stay up late?" he asked, handing her a bottle of milk.
"Mm… usually around midnight," Miku said, sitting on the bed. She glanced at the TV, where Mai's movie played. "I watch movies and play games at night, then can't get up in the morning…"
"Still into Three Kingdoms games?" Draconis Yi teased.
"Yeah… I know it's weird, liking all those old generals…"
"What's weird about that? It's like Gundam or Ultraman—no need for anyone else to get it. You like what you like."
Miku smiled, then held up a box.
"I brought a game. Want to play?"
Draconis Yi laughed. "You packed games and controllers for a trip?"
"Yeah." Miku looked embarrassed, worried he'd refuse. "…Is that weird?"
"Not at all. I just didn't expect it."
He opened the box—fighting game, two-player mode.
"Perfect. I love these."
What guy wouldn't? And now his girlfriend wanted to play—living the dream.
Miku perked up, quickly setting up the game. The TV transformed into a giant screen.
Draconis Yi sprawled on the bed, controller in hand, heart light.
"Miku?"
"Mm?"
"Loser gets punished. Deal?" he grinned.
Miku blinked. "What kind of punishment?"
He considered suggesting stripping, but with only bathrobes, that would end the game fast. Tempting, but no.
"Every round, loser kisses the winner. Sound good?"
Miku's cheeks flared red.
Was that punishment or reward?
"O-okay…"
Draconis Yi smiled, pulled her into his lap, arms around her waist, controller in hand.
Miku froze—so close, her heart pounding, brain nearly short-circuiting.
They picked their characters.
"Ready?"
"Y-yeah…"
Game on. Countdown. Miku, surprisingly skilled, quickly chipped away at his health.
Draconis Yi fumbled with the controls, chin on her shoulder.
"Wait, which button does what? These controls are insane…"
"Take this~"
Miku laughed, unleashing a flurry of combos. KO.
"I win~" she cheered.
Draconis Yi kissed her cheek.
Miku went rigid. "…Eep!"
Her reaction was adorable—legs straight, lips trembling.
Draconis Yi hugged her tighter, whispering,
"A bet's a bet."
Miku blushed to her ears, but her excitement was obvious.
"Another round?"
"Let's go." Draconis Yi was ready.
This time, he fought back, but Miku was relentless—another defeat.
"How are you so good?" he asked, amazed.
"I just play a lot…"
She wondered if she should go easy, but… losing meant kissing him. Tempting.
Draconis Yi kissed her again, her soft skin leaving a red mark. He couldn't resist a second kiss.
This time, Miku was calmer, though her eyes were still dazed.
Sweet romance softened her lips into a smile.
"Again."
Draconis Yi challenged, confident. "I've got it now."
"G-good luck." Miku cheered him on.
Now Draconis Yi was in control, his attacks fierce.
Finally, a super move—KO.
"Told you I'd get it."
Miku's eyes sparkled. "You learned so fast…"
"With my reflexes, it's easy once I get the hang of it," he said. "Still want to keep playing?"
"Of course! I won't back down."
"Heh, then time for your punishment."
Miku blushed, leaned in, kissed his cheek, then quickly turned away.
Her shy reaction was too cute. Draconis Yi held her, content—no pillow could match her softness and warmth.
The next match was close; Draconis Yi lost by a hair.
Miku was delighted, pride blooming as she tilted her face for her reward.
Draconis Yi kissed her lips, this time lingering.
Miku's brain crashed—five seconds of blankness.
After that, she played distracted, losing again and again—six straight defeats.
She kept kissing him, growing more relaxed each time.
First awkward, then familiar—soon she was curled up in his arms, controller in hand, focused on the game.
Another defeat. Miku turned, smiling, waiting for her kiss.
Draconis Yi leaned in, kissed her neck, leaving a faint strawberry mark.
Miku blushed, but said nothing.
If her sisters saw it tomorrow… so be it.
Right now, she felt like the luckiest girl in the world.
"It's getting late, Miku."
He checked the time—11:30. They'd played for hours.
"Ah… should we stop?"
She looked reluctant to leave his arms.
Draconis Yi read her mood, kept her close, hand tracing the silk of her bathrobe.
"Want to play something else?" he whispered in her ear.
"Eh? Still playing?"
"Yeah. But not games." He laughed softly.
Miku looked puzzled. "If not games, then what…"
Poker, obviously.
Draconis Yi rolled over, pinning her gently. Miku's face went blank—adorable.
Before she could react, he kissed her deeply.
Her mind spun—kissed senseless again.
Though he'd already been with Nino earlier, a few hours' rest left him full of energy.
Miku quickly realized what was about to happen, face burning red.
"Turn… turn off the lights…" she whispered, unable to meet his eyes.
Draconis Yi smiled, obliging. The room went dark.
But in the darkness, his demonic nature saw everything even more clearly.
Soon, Miku's bathrobe was gone. She squeezed her eyes shut, trembling with nerves.
Draconis Yi held her close, gentle kisses soothing her until she relaxed.
With a soft moan, she surrendered—and the night swallowed them both.
