Chapter 171 - The Authority of Black Light

The battlefield had gone silent.

Not because the war had ended.

But because every being present—from ordinary soldiers to commanders who had survived for millions of years—had stopped fighting just to watch the man floating alone in space.

Ashura Bellet.

Black light drifted around him calmly while Kuroha rested in his hand, its dark blade humming faintly as though it recognized the scale of the battlefield before it.

Across from him, the Oki stood motionless.

Massive.

Ancient.

Its body alone dwarfed planets, yet for the first time since arriving in this multiverse—

It had stepped backward.

Below, entire fleets paused mid-battle.

One warrior stared upward with disbelief written across his face.

"…Who is that man?"

Another slowly lowered his weapon.

"It's my first time seeing an Oki step back…"

The fear spreading across the battlefield wasn't directed at the monster anymore.

It was directed at Ashura.

And Ashura himself?

He simply looked at the creature with calm interest.

Then—

He vanished.

Space folded inward.

The Oki's hollow eyes widened slightly—

—and Ashura appeared behind it instantly.

SHHHKKKKK.

Multiple black slashes tore across the giant creature's body all at once.

The cuts stretched across its chest, shoulders, arms, and spine simultaneously, black light burning through the wounds as if trying to erase the monster entirely.

The Oki roared.

Its scream shook entire realities.

It swung one massive arm backward wildly—

—and the force alone destroyed a nearby universe.

The universe shattered like glass before disappearing into cosmic dust.

Ashura glanced back casually while floating above the destruction.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

"Multiple cuts from Kuroha…"

"And you're still living."

"That says something."

The Oki turned violently and attacked again.

Its giant fists tore through space repeatedly, each movement carrying enough force to destroy countless worlds.

But Ashura wasn't there.

Every strike missed.

Every attack passed through empty space.

He moved around the creature effortlessly, appearing and disappearing like a shadow slipping through reality itself.

On the giant warship, silence filled the command room.

Damian stared at the battlefield with widened eyes.

The swordsman's hand slowly tightened around the hilt of his blade.

"…Lord Veldoza."

Veldoza looked toward him calmly.

Damian pointed toward the battlefield where Ashura continuously carved through the Oki while avoiding every counterattack without even seeming serious.

"Where did this guy come from?"

His voice carried genuine disbelief.

Hydra remained quiet, but even she couldn't hide the shock in her hazel eyes.

The Oki were monsters that entire alliances struggled to suppress.

Yet Ashura was treating one casually.

Veldoza leaned slightly against the wall.

"He's from the Twilight Universe."

Hydra immediately looked toward him.

"The same multiverse Agoth came from?"

Veldoza nodded once.

"Yes."

Jupiter whistled softly.

"That universe keeps producing ridiculous people."

Veldoza's eyes remained fixed on Ashura.

"I fought him once."

The room became quieter.

Damian slowly turned toward him.

"And?"

Veldoza smiled faintly.

"If we continued…"

"I would've lost."

A pause followed.

Then Veldoza added calmly:

"And perhaps died."

The atmosphere in the room froze completely.

Hydra narrowed her eyes slightly.

"…I can't even feel his power."

Veldoza chuckled quietly.

"You can't."

"And don't try to."

His tone changed slightly afterward.

More serious.

"If he became our enemy…"

"Even if all the Oldest fought him together, it would only be to a fault."

"For a period of time."

"Eventually…"

Veldoza looked toward the battlefield again.

"He would overwhelm everyone."

Even Damian went silent after hearing that.

Jupiter crossed his arms before grinning.

"…What a guy."

Back on the battlefield, the Oki had become more aggressive.

Its hollow eyes glowed violently before its chest began expanding unnaturally.

Ashura noticed instantly.

"Oh?"

The creature opened its mouth.

And fired.

BOOOOOOM.

A massive erasure beam erupted across space.

Entire galaxies vanished in its path instantly.

The beam continued toward the alliance army below.

Panic spread immediately.

"That attack will erase the fleet!"

"MOVE!"

"We can't stop that!"

But Ashura simply lifted Kuroha.

SHING.

One slash.

The beam split apart instantly.

The black blade cut directly through the erasure attack itself, dividing the energy cleanly before the separated halves flew past the army and vanished into distant space.

Shock filled the battlefield.

The Oki fired again.

And again.

And again.

Dozens of beams erupted across space simultaneously.

Ashura moved once more.

His black coat fluttered lightly while he swung Kuroha repeatedly.

Each slash cut through the beams effortlessly.

Some attacks split vertically.

Others shattered entirely.

One beam was redirected back into empty space where it erased several abandoned realities.

The army below watched in complete silence.

A commander slowly whispered:

"He's cutting… erasure itself…"

Even Veldoza narrowed his eyes slightly.

Ashura wasn't simply overpowering the attacks.

He was dominating the laws behind them.

Then—

The Oki suddenly stopped attacking.

Ashura tilted his head slightly.

The giant creature turned abruptly—

—and began running.

Space collapsed beneath its movements as it rushed toward a nearby multiverse.

Veldoza's eyes widened slightly.

"…No."

Hydra immediately understood.

"It's going for an existential conversion!"

The Oki reached the multiverse instantly.

Then—

It absorbed it.

The entire multiverse collapsed inward, converting into a giant sphere of distorted white energy held between the creature's hands.

The atmosphere changed immediately.

Even the surrounding laws began destabilizing.

Damian's face hardened.

"That attack…"

Jupiter spoke quietly.

"Omni Existential Erasure."

The giant sphere pulsed violently.

An attack capable of erasing a target from existence and non-existence simultaneously.

Not death.

Not destruction.

Absolute removal.

Across all imaginable planes.

The Oki suddenly turned—

—and fired the attack directly at Ashura.

No warning.

No delay.

The beam engulfed him instantly.

Space disappeared.

Reality folded apart.

Entire dimensions shattered from the shockwave alone.

Even the battlefield itself became unstable.

The alliance army froze completely.

Hydra's expression tightened.

Damian gripped his sword harder.

Jupiter stopped smiling entirely.

Then the explosion expanded further.

A massive white eruption swallowed entire sectors of space before slowly fading away.

Silence followed.

Nothing remained where Ashura once stood.

For a brief moment—

Even Veldoza stared quietly.

Then—

Black light appeared inside the fading explosion.

Ashura stepped forward calmly.

Completely unharmed.

Not a scratch.

Not a mark.

He brushed dust lightly from his sleeve.

"…That's new."

The battlefield fell into absolute silence.

And for the very first time—

Fear appeared in the Oki's hollow eyes.
