The Hunt
Since the day Marcus first exerted his authority over him, Logan had been working on his partial transformations: extending claws and fangs, quickening his pace, and tensing muscles that strained against restrictive clothing without actually becoming the massive beast Marcus had seen. The control felt strange, intoxicating, and he spent hours honing it, letting the wolf instincts guide him-but always under Marcus's rules.
Tracking So-Ra
He knew where to start. Detective Han So-Ra had been investigating the "animal attacks" in the city, asking questions around J High. Logan remembered the school clearly-the face of the cop was etched into his memory.
Logan (thinking, growling low): "There. That's her. That's the one sniffing around. Can't let her figure it out."
He wanted her attention. He stirred up some minor trouble—shattering several cars' windows down a quiet alleyway, hurling a dumpster out into the street. The sirens were quick, and So-Ra, being the closest officer on patrol, responded immediately.
So-Ra: "What's going on here? Who did this?"
Logan stayed in the shadows, allowing his wolf instincts to kick in. She didn't recognize him as the wolf—yet—but she did recognize him from J High.
So-Ra: "Wait. you. you're that kid! Logan Lee!"
Logan snarled, stepping out into the dim streetlight. His claws glinted faintly as he flexed in partial transformation.
Logan: "Detective. You're too curious for your own good."
The Chase
So-Ra realized something wasn't right. Her instincts screamed danger, but she couldn't pinpoint it.
So-Ra: "Why do I feel. drawn to him? And why do I feel. something else inside me?"
She started to retreat, hoping to lure backup, but as soon as she turned, Logan's body moved faster than she expected.
Every time she got a few steps away, Logan's body forced him forward to chase her. Not that he wanted to, but the connection Marcus had imposed made him pursue her ceaselessly. He couldn't stop himself.
Logan: Struggling with himself, growling: "Dammit… I don't want to hurt her… but my body—"
He lunged, his claws out. So-Ra dodged, her reflexes and training in combat kicking in, but the augmented strength and speed of Logan had her stumbling again and again.
The Fight
Finally, he cornered her in a dark alley well away from any potential witnesses. She fought back with punches and kicks; however, his partial transformation made him nearly untouchable.
So-Ra: "I… I don't understand… what's happening to me?!"
For a split second, Logan hesitated, bewildered by the strange pull to obey Marcus, the wild hunger rising inside him. And then, of its own accord, his body surged forward, slamming her to the ground.
Logan: (snarling) "Stay still…
He landed blow after blow, not killing, for Marcus's rules were drilled into him, but strong enough to incapacitate her. The world went dark as her consciousness faded away.
Awakening
By the time So-Ra finally woke up, she was breathing heavily. She blinked her eyes, trying to clear her vision, until she noticed that they glowed blue. In an instant, panic and bewilderment overcame her.
So-Ra (to herself): "What… what is this? My… eyes… they're glowing…"
Logan stood over her, partially transformed, chest heaving, fangs glinting faintly in the light. Even without his blue eyes glimmering beneath his human gaze, his aura radiated dominance, unnatural power.
Logan: (softly, almost reluctantly) "You… belong to him now. Don't fight it… not yet." The scene froze there: an alley silent, shadows stretching long. Neither fully understood what had just happened, but everything was different now.
