Red Eyes and Chaos
Marcus was walking down the hall, the fluorescent lights overhead making his red eyes glow faintly. He had spent the past few days thinking about Logan and So-Ra, how he felt about her, and why he hadn't acted on his attraction. The truth was simple: he wanted her, but he hadn't allowed himself to act-part instinct, part hesitation.
Meanwhile, Logan had been silently observing Marcus.
Logan: "Hey… why haven't you done anything with the cop yet?"
Marcus froze, his eyes narrowing at him.
Marcus: "I… don't know."
Logan: (smirking) "Bullshit. You're scared of… you know… getting physical. Afraid to do the dirty."
Marcus's red eyes flared and his fists clenched.
Marcus: "That's enough, Logan."
Logan grinned as an idea formed in his mind.
Logan: "Alright, alright… but just because you're to scared to get some doesn't mean i am and since I need permission anyway, how about this-you let me turn Zoe at school into my beta. I just want my own little plaything."
Marcus's eyes snapped open, full of pure rage as the red deepened in intensity around him; the hallway seemed to shift in the glow of his aura.
Marcus: (low growl) "What did you just say?"
Logan suddenly, without warning, felt himself flung through space as if thrown; he crashed into a nearby classroom with a loud CRASH!
Inside, Zoe, Mira, and Zack had jumped back in shock, with books flying around.
Logan: (shocked) "Whoa, Alpha! Easy does it! I was just kidding!"
Marcus entered the classroom, his red eyes locked on Logan. The air was tight, as though the very walls sensed the menace.
Marcus: Voice low, dangerous. "You're pushing your luck."
Logan scrambled to his feet, claws subtly extending, ready to fight, but before a fight could break out, a teacher—Mr. Han—burst into the room. His eyes widened as he took in the scene: a student had crashed through the classroom wall.
Mr. Han: "What in the world is going on?! Stop this immediately! Both of you—go to the principal's office, now!"
Marcus's red eyes dimmed slightly, and he stepped back, allowing Logan to compose himself. Both knew they weren't finished, but for now, authority had intervened.
Zoe, Mira, and Zack exchanged worried glances, still in shock from the destruction.
Zoe: "…Did… did he just throw him?"
Mira: "What is going on with Marcus?"
Zack: "…I don't even want to know."
Logan muttered under his breath, his glare still fixed on the calmly walking Marcus.
Logan: "This isn't over, Alpha." Marcus's eyes stayed red, anger simmering just beneath the surface, but his presence alone seemed enough to keep Logan in check.
