A dark aura began to come out of Naruto, drawing the attention of Kushina and the others, who didn't feel any kind of chakra.
Hitomi activated her Byakugan, noticing that the black hole inside Naruto was growing, though there was a faint chakra signal—tiny, but present.
Naruto: Well, I finally have something to take my frustration out on… —he said calmly, moving his neck from side to side; he still needed to vent because of that Susano'o.
The meteorite was getting closer and closer, breaking slight sonic booms while emitting a strange sound.
Mikoto: Nar… —she didn't finish upon seeing him leap and literally then fly toward the meteorite.
Kushina, who had gotten to her feet as her adrenaline spiked, summoned a scroll and unrolled it, noticing that the seal she created wasn't enough for the magnitude of that huge rock, and watched to see what Naruto would do.
Kushina blinked when she felt a spike of gigantic and deeply cold chakra not far from the ruins of the Hokage Mountain.
Kyuubi opened his eyes when he recognized that damn chakra—damn it.
Kyuubi: What's happening outside?... —he roared, powerless because he couldn't look outside, that damn Uzumaki sealed it even tighter instead of healing him.
Naruto approached the meteorite from the side as his eyes turned red and his power increased, and abruptly—almost forcibly—the sky turned storm-gray.
Naruto moved his foot, connecting a powerful kick into the meteorite.
"PLASSSSTTTTTTT…
A deafening boom resounded as the meteorite ignited and slowly changed direction.
The entire population of Konoha stared in disbelief as that huge rock ignited completely and changed direction. Even the ANBU were in shock, although they had noticed Naruto by his wings of fire, already well known by all.
With Madara.
Madara opened his eyes in disbelief inside his Susano'o, seeing how his meteorite ignited and rushed toward him at great speed.
Madara broke into a sweat—he had summoned it, yes, but doing what that Naruto had just done was not within his limits.
Susano'o roared as it began to rise, only for its head to disappear in a clean cut.
Naruto instantly appeared within Madara's visual range, and Madara didn't even hesitate.
Katon: Gōka Mekkyaku!
A torrent of fire surged violently toward Naruto, its range expanding—only to vanish before it could gather more force.
Madara's Mangekyō Sharingan widened in surprise—he blew chakra into the jutsu, but it simply disappeared for some reason.
Naruto pointed his finger at Madara as a sphere of power began to form, emitting a strange sound that alerted Madara as his eyes began shifting into the Rinnegan pattern.
"Cero."
Naruto exclaimed coldly as a torrent of power shot from the tip of his finger.
Madara jumped by instinct; he thought about enduring it with his Susano'o or absorbing it, but his instinct screamed that it was a bad idea—and he trusted himself.
Naruto moved his hand, changing the attack's direction.
Madara: Shit! Shinra Tensei! —he exclaimed as a repulsive force altered the trajectory of the power beam.
Naruto smiled and vanished.
Madara's eyes widened as he felt danger—and the meteorite was still dangerously approaching him.
Madara sent a backhand strike, only for it to be grabbed and twisted completely.
Naruto moved, delivering a powerful knee strike into Madara's chest, making him spit a mouthful of blood as a pale hand emerged from his back, launching several missiles toward Naruto.
"BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM…
A powerful explosion resounded as Madara rolled on the ground and quickly stood up, only to see an arm reaching through the fire.
Madara tried to shield himself with his Susano'o, only for the hand to pierce through his chakra and…
"PUUUUMMM!"
"Buaghhh…"
Madara spat a large mouthful of blood as he bent forward.
Naruto: Is that all? —he asked, emerging from the flames with a calm expression as he retracted his arm, looking down at Madara, who fell to his knees.
In the distance, Zetsu watched with incredulity at the shocking exchange in which none other than Madara—who was supposed to be invincible—was losing to this unknown individual.
Zetsu was worried about the future of his plans.
Zetsu: No, he can't die… —he growled, annoyed; he couldn't wait another thousand years.
Naruto calmly watched as the ground began to tremble and several roots began emerging.
"Mokuton Jukai Kōtan (Secret Wood Release Jutsu: Birth of a World of Trees)!"
Naruto jumped back, observing calmly as huge roots tried to capture him, locking eyes with Madara.
Madara, without hesitation and feeling offended, used genjutsu to breathe for the first time—something he hadn't even done with Hashirama.
Madara suddenly noticed everything turning dark before a sea of fire ignited and a hand grabbed him.
Madara: Isn't this my world? —he wondered, turning only to see a skeleton grabbing him, then another hand grabbing his other arm, and something grabbing his feet.
Madara didn't panic and tried to use his Susano'o, only to gasp.
"WHAT?! Shinra Tensei!"
Madara became alarmed when that didn't work either, and multiple skeletal hands grabbed him and began dragging him.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH…"
"HELP USSSSS…"
"PLEASEEEE…"
"HELP MEEEEE…"
"I don't know how long I've been here but you look fresh, let's merge…"
Madara clenched his rear at the last phrase but stared in disbelief at that sea of fire he was being dragged toward, with people rising and falling, trying to escape while lamenting.
"Hatred, anguish, pain, fear, rage."
Madara felt all of that with horror—even for someone who had seen the darkness of the ninja world, it shook his heart.
"Madara-samaaaaaa…"
Madara noticed Tobi being torn apart not far away and devoured—something that made him want to fight.
"Hmm… trying to enter here voluntarily… you're the toughest and craziest adversary I've ever known…"
Madara recognized the voice and turned his head only to see Naruto offering his hand while the skeletons attacked him.
Naruto mocked them and repelled them with a simple pulse of energy.
Madara quickly grabbed Naruto's hand, who pulled him out with force.
Back to reality.
Madara gasped on his knees at what he had just witnessed—clearly the genjutsu was a suicidal attack, but… What the hell was that?, he had never seen anything like it, not even in the Pure Land.
Madara lifted his gaze only to see Naruto running at high speed toward him.
Madara: Rinbō: Hengoku (Limbo: Border Jail)!—he exclaimed, pointing with his Rinnegan, but little did he know that Naruto was essentially a demi-god of death.
Madara stared in shock as skeletal hands emerged from the ground, capturing his invisible clones that tried to fight but were pulled into that same sea of the dead from the genjutsu.
Madara couldn't snap out of his stupor before he felt a cold wind on his back, and Naruto was already in front of him, delivering a punch Madara took full on.
"FLISSSS…"
"BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM…"
Madara was sent flying against the meteorite, which exploded upon impact.
Naruto pointed at the dome protecting Konoha, which glowed with fire, repelling the explosion of rocks.
Naruto massaged his temple and told himself he had three lovers there—he wasn't anyone's hero.
"GRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH…"
A deafening roar echoed, making Naruto smile as two large blue hands appeared through the explosion, followed by a face that was rapidly changing.
Naruto also unleashed his magical power as a surge of red energy shot up into the sky.
"Kuchiyose: Gedō Mazō (Summoning: Demonic Statue of the Outer Path)!"
"GRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH…"
Another powerful roar echoed.
Raindrops began to fall, as if the sky were crying from the abrupt fluctuations of energy.
Black Zetsu watched in disbelief at what was happening in the distance—Madara had been pushed to the point of invoking his complete Susano'o and relying on the Demonic Statue… What the hell is this Naruto?
Zetsu shook his head—he couldn't be the reincarnation of Indra or Ashura; the only chakra he felt was Madara's and a strange fluctuation in the surrounding natural energy.
Zetsu's gaze was filled with horror at the rapid deterioration of the situation—he thought Madara, now at his prime, could easily suppress this anomaly he knew nothing about, but to his disbelief Madara—who should be the current god of the shinobi world—was being pushed back mercilessly and unequally, forcing him to resort to the Gedō Mazō.
Mother…
Konohagakure.
The entire village was alarmed by what their eyes were seeing: first the meteorite, then the Wood Release, and now that imposing warrior who exploded with the meteorite… According to intelligence, it was none other than Madara, Naruto vs. Madara Uchiha, the former head of the Uchiha clan.
The different leaders of the respective clans, including the Uchiha, were shocked by what they were seeing—the divine Uchiha ability: Susano'o.
Kenji gasped—Madara-sama had always been alive.
Jiraiya's spy toad was in shock watching what was happening, and he wasn't the only one—multiple spies in Konoha were also shocked… everything that had happened in Konoha in recent days was madness.
Shikaku ran a hand through his hair.
Shikaku: Damn… —he couldn't help exclaiming, his usual bored expression gone.
"Gods…"
"GRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH…"
A shiver ran down everyone's spine.
Mikoto, Hitomi, and Kushina were equally surprised by everything, but Kushina had already gotten to work.
Kushina: If you betray me or try to leave, I'll let Madara take you. It's better to support Naruto—you surely saw how he kicked that meteorite… —she said seriously to Kyuubi, with whom she had just made a deal.
Kyuubi: Fine… —he answered angrily. He didn't like her at all, but the appearance of the Juubi's shell disturbed him, and it was better to ally with this crazy seal expert. She had to seal that thing inside herself, and they'd be even; if she died, that thing would disappear and never again be a threat. He didn't care about dying since he'd return, but surely the Juubi's shell wouldn't—good deal.
Kyuubi began letting his chakra flow gently into Kushina, who was suddenly surrounded by a chakra cloak as she released Kyuubi from his chains and the sphere in the sky with which she tortured him.
Kyuubi felt tempted to tear Kushina apart before hearing that roar, and the thought vanished.
Kushina looked at herself in surprise—the golden cloak surrounding her.
Kushina: I feel powerful, and my butt doesn't hurt anymore… —she said, drawing Mikoto's and Hitomi's attention.
Hitomi covered her eyes—Kushina was glowing.
Mikoto: Kushina, you…? —she asked only to see her vanish from her spot.
Mikoto grimaced; she knew what that fool would do—she wouldn't leave her alone.
Mikoto's eyes changed to the three-tomoe Sharingan before beginning to spin into a strange pattern Hitomi couldn't read as Mikoto vanished in a shunshin.
Hitomi sighed—those idiots, and their follower who was even more of an idiot; someone with a functioning brain like her always had to support them, clearly.
Hitomi disappeared in a burst of leaf-laced wind.
Fire Capital – Josan Inn.
Gathered there were Minato and Jiraiya, who had just received the news that Konoha was being attacked by none other than Uchiha Madara, who was supposed to be dead.
Jiraiya was in shock, and Minato even more so—and the one facing him was none other than Naruto.
Minato: This is insane… —he exclaimed incredulously.
Jiraiya couldn't refute it.
Minato: We have to go help, Konoha is our home… —he said seriously to Jiraiya, though he felt a sliver of fear—Madara was a living legend.
Jiraiya shook his head.
Jiraiya: We wouldn't accomplish much and would draw attention after escaping. It's… better to wait… —he said after thinking for a moment.
Minato hesitated but decided to accept his teacher's answer—he only hoped this Naruto could protect Konoha.
Somewhere in the world.
At the top of a mountain, a strange monk watched the distance with curiosity.
"It's not time yet…"
