~~~ [START]
"Ahhh!" The screams of a monster bounced off the walls of a dark, secluded cave filled with the stench of rot.
THUD!
The monster dropped its body, leaning its back against a wall where two chains hung in the center.
"Tyler!" spoke a woman with glasses, walking in with her eyes wandering everywhere until they located him. "My child!" She ran to him, holding up his nearly transformed Sub-Human face. "Who did this to you?" she asked, her orbs turning as they observed Tyler's figure.
His burned, almost charred skin; near-perfect teeth now all missing; privates completely cut, balls missing from his body, not leaving even the slightest chance for future offspring.
"What happened to you?" she asked again, grabbing his head and laying it atop her breasts. "Why does this keep happening?" She could feel the teardrops from his eyes falling from his face to her chest.
"He knows…" Tyler said, his voice nearly replaced by whines of pain. Legs crouching, bending over, and trying with all their might to gain any comfort. "He knows… he knows."
"Who knows?" the woman asked, sensibly stunned by his words. Eyes widened, turning and lifting his head in disbelief. "Know what? …Who?"
"He… he… he knows," he continued, hands moving around her waist, tightening. "He knows me… he knows."
{Hours later}
"So, you think Xavier is Frankenstein?" Ash asked, left hand holding onto Wednesday's cello. "I mean… I get he was the only one at the scene, but come on, you said it yourself, Xavier was holding an umbrella; he was dry. And even if it was him, why would Frankenstein try to attack you, eat me till boredom, run away, then come back and risk getting suspected? That doesn't make any sense."
Wednesday suddenly halted, turned, and stared at Ash, who was still taken aback by her movements.
She then stared at him, perhaps for a second too long.
"I overestimated you," she suddenly said, causing Ash to widen his eyes in confusion. She then turned, walking away.
"Wait!" Ash shouted, following behind her. "What do you mean, overestimated me?" he questioned, unaware that a certain hand was following right behind them, planning a deed that would forever change Ash's views in an instant, something he truly wouldn't expect.
{Minutes later}
"It is my honor to celebrate our town's history and Jericho's noble forefather, Joseph Crackstone," Noble Walker said, holding a mic in his hand and smiling at Weems, who was standing beside him. "Now, he believed that with a happy heart and an open ear, there was nothing our town couldn't achieve." He turned to the button, holding his hand above it as though it were a deed too important to rush. "So together, as one, with our community and our friends at Nevermore Academy, we've built a monument to celebrate his memory."
Weems also raised her hand, placing it atop his to accomplish the deed as one. "Now, may the spirit of Joseph Crackstone be memorialized for eternity!"
Their hands descended, pressing the button, which activated the waterfall on the statue and started the band, announcing the event's success.
Until suddenly.
BOOM!
An explosion erupted from nowhere, completely waking all of those who were asleep.
The music changed, and everyone, including the band, started bolting for safety, leaving only the few who were brave enough to witness the live action of Joseph Crackstone's statue melt like butter.
And Ash, the lad who had long fallen in love with chaos, caught sight of something else.
It was Wednesday, playing a piece that pierced straight into the heart.
The way her head moved around, immersing her eyes in the chaos that was happening around them. The way her rear, almost never showing a smile, for the first time unashamedly revealed itself.
The way the music filled the air, burning brighter than the flame that still erupted before him.
Ash had no idea what he was feeling.
And then she turned, shifting her eyes to him, her hands still playing, immersing themselves in the cello.
They shared eye contact, one so deep neither of them seemed to even notice.
Wednesday, still smiling.
Ash, still mesmerized by the deed of sin.
It seemed perfect, and at the same time completely incorrect.
Or was it?
{Minutes later}
"That was a disaster!" Weems shouted, moving around the room, eyes refusing to even spare a glance at both Ash and Wednesday, who were seated near her desk. "The mayor is furious! I've lost count of angry calls, emails, and people in town," she turned, pointing a finger at both of them. "They want answers, and so do I!"
"I would lead the inquisition," Wednesday said, arms folded over her legs, "but unfortunately, it seems I left my thumbscrews and racks at home."
"Miss Addams!" Weems cut in, clearly breaking. "You are already skating on thin ice, wafer-thin ice."
"I swear on my late scorpion's soul," Wednesday said, unbothered, unmoving, and nearly unreactive, "my hands are clean."
Then both Principal Weems and Wednesday turned their heads to Ash, who had been silent the whole time.
"Yo, look," Ash said, giggling and raising his hands in surrender, "I was just sitting there. I didn't do it… I promise."
