The pirates in the vicinity of Grand Line sailed into the radar of Gravitas Island as they docked their ships at the shore, clutching their firearms as they stomped into the island for the greatest event ever held.
The townsfolk were utterly stunned and dumbfounded as they gazed at the pirates waltzing into their hometown with various firearms.
Bam! Bam!
The pirates let loose, engaging in a trivial conflict with the innocent civilians as they shot the civilians including children, stomping their way forward while locating the whereabouts of the upper yard where the festival was being held.
Amidst the chaos proclaimed at Crownfall city by the pirates, Gojo and his crew were already in the appropriate tracks locating the avenue of the event.
The pirates stomped through Crownfall city, cries of agony brimming across the heavens, the domains whirling into a battlefield of bloodshed, clashing against one another as they surged forward into the depths of the island.
Substantially, the pirates visible on the island were over one hundred, and above all, there were only few who were recognized and whose bounties exceeded 100 million bellies.
It was a race against pirates!
With the utility of observation haki, Vane could only smirk as he surveyed the pirates within his castle craving for bloodshed. "This is exhilarating!" Vane snapped his fingers, signaling Foolio, who had already disguised himself with a mustache and a red hat.
As Foolio commenced commentating, he identified the names of the pirates and also the rookies, compelling the audience to roar with excitement!
Bang!
The series of bullets and metal swords smoldering across the island halted in zephyr compelling the pirates, such as Foolio who was engrossed in an obiter dictum gawking at the frightening scene unfold.
"W-What variety of phenomenon is transpiring?" Foolio's voice echoed throughout the heavens, cautious of what's about to materialize.
Repel!!!
The pirate's voice reverberated across the atmosphere, sending chills through every pirate's body as he unequivocally demonstrated his formidable devil fruit power!
The bullets struck the pirates in the vicinity of the island, and as they crumpled onto the floor, blood gushed out relentlessly from their wounds.
"Clear the path, maggots!!" His voice was firm as he plunged forward.
Foolio dived out from his daydream, yelling the name of the pirate who'd just displayed his formidable prowess. "And there he is.. the captain of the Kid pirates, Eustass Kid!!"
"That's cool!" Gojo leaped upwards, evading a cutlass that swung vertically towards him as he seemingly landed with a flip sending the pirates crashing into one another with a decisive round-house kick. 'It wouldn't be fun if Limitless were active.' He pondered to himself.
The rookies from the four seas could only grin in triumph as they plunged forward into the threshold of the upper yard with their crews.
Foolio's voice resonated through the upper yard, "welcome to the upper yard, you lots! I could see a lot of tough rookies but.. which one of you will be able to claim the pirate king's treasure?"
The pirates roared with excitement, yet only a few remained silent, the realization dawning on them that the festival was a setup—but they could only smile at that, for that was where the thrill truly came from.
Foolio continued, "welcome to the pirate festival where ambition, chaos, and glory collide. This is no ordinary gathering… this is a battlefield disguised as a celebration," he growled, glancing at the abounding pirates below. "Throughout the festival, a series of pirate games will be held. These challenges are designed to test your strength, wit, alliances.. and betrayals. Crews will clash, rivals will rise, and only the bold will survive."
"We don't have time for ya yapping, scum! Get over it and start this game already!" One of the rookies from west blue declared, clutching his cutlass and pistol on both hands.
"That's the spirit I'm talking about. Let the festival commence!!" Foolio uttered, extracting an intensive roar from the pirates who'd already clutch their weapons, eager to spill blood and claim the treasure.
Vane laughed furiously inside the depth of his castle, activating his observation haki, he surveyed all the pirates in the vicinity of the upper yard compelling him to utilize and extract the strongest rookies in the arena.
"I doubt any of them has the ability of a Logia devil fruit." Hiro chuckled.
"It no longer matters, for none of them are capable of possessing Haki at this stage. And even if one of them does wield the ability of a Logia—transforming their body into any elemental substance—I will still defeat them, despite relying solely on my mastery of Observation and Armament Haki."
"I'll go get a liquor." Jimmy waltzed off the castle.
"Now, who's going to claim the mysterious treasure chest? It might contain a logia devil fruit or.. tons of gold. Ladies and gentlemen, let the festival commence!"
The pirates growled, clutching their firearms as they sprung into action, to claim the mysterious treasure chest atop a huge mountain.
"That's mine!"
The pirates began their race to claim the pirate king's treasure which didn't exist except for the legendary one—the One Piece!
'Hmm?' Vane snarled, his observation haki attesting an unusual integer navigating towards the shore of Crownfall City. "Who would've thought a vice-admiral of the G-5 marine unit would be conspicuous here? Right, Smoker-kun?" Vane snapped, his veins bulging on his neck, reminiscing about the menace of acquiring a marine vice-admiral into the island.
"Did the pirates snitch us out to the navy?" Hiro sighed, "It doesn't matter, Vane. It won't prove troublesome acquiring an isolated foe in our midst."
"Did you think Foolio snitched on us?" Vane gritted his teeth in frustration, crumbling the wall beside him into shackles.
"We'll be busted if Smoker notifies the marines about our whereabouts. It'll get ugly."
"Hiro, I'll need you to call Jimmy via the transponder snail. We've got some issues to deal with."
"Roger that, Vane-san. The marine fleets might be approaching at a considerable rate of acceleration."
"I'll deal with Foolio and Smoker. Let's have the pirates clash against themselves." Vane extracted himself from his recliner, flexing his muscles reluctantly before his silhouette faded away.
"Then, I'll be on my way also."
…
{The shore of Crownfall City}
A tall muscular man with a short silvery-white haircut was discerning on a three wheel billowal bike that transverse across the surface of the sea with two huge cigarettes stationed at his lips.
The man wore a white jacket that accentuated his muscular chest, with a cigarette strapped around his biceps.
"Something feels strange." Smoker hopped onto the island, exhaling a voluminous, perfectly formed ring of smoke that lingered briefly in the still air before dissipating, taking a glimpse of the pirates' vessels docked at the shore.
His facial expression darkened instantly, "why are so many ships docked ashore?" He clutched the weapon strapped across his back—a shaft tipped with Seastone, a material used to subdue pirates who possess Devil Fruit powers.
He contemplated for a brief extent with himself before extracting his transponder snail, relaying an urgent news to Tashigi, his subordinate who is always dutiful at his side to lead a fleet of marines into Gravitas island to apprehend the pirates lurking in the vicinity.
With the power of the Moku Moku no Mi, a Logia-type devil fruit, he was able to create, control and transform his body into smoke. Given his mastery over his devil fruit powers, he could manipulate the smoke's density, even to the point of solidifying it at his own will.
He plunged forward into the city by transforming his whole body into smoke, his eyes catching a glimpse of blood and corpses laying lifeless on the surface.
He descended downwards and deactivated his powers, transforming himself into a normal human. He outstretched his hands and felt the pulse were no longer active, realizing they were all dead. "Pirates!!" He yelled, compelling the townsfolk to jolt in shock.
"E-Excuse me sir," an old man whispered gently, "are you a marine vice-admiral sent to apprehend the pirates?"
Smoker turned his gaze towards the old man, "tell me, do you know the whereabouts of the pirates who did this?"
The old man nodded, "somewhere on this island is called the upper yard and it forbids any trespassing."
"Upper yard?" He mused to himself, "the marines are on their way to capture every pirates lurking in the threshold of the upper yard. I'll have all of you to shelter yourselves until the arrival of the marines in order to ensure the safety of your lives."
"Really?" The old man released his grasp from the wooden stick he'd used to support himself. "We are free!"
Smoker cracked his neck and fist, "it's time to hunt!" His body instantly flared up into smoke and flew upwards, pinpointing the location of the upper yard as he awaited the marine fleets navigating to the island.
…
Blood gushed out from the wounds etched into the flesh of the pirates as they plunged forward into the depths of the upper yard to claim the mysterious treasure chest.
The captain of the Spandan Pirates, cutlass clenched in hand, charged furiously at the captain of the Heart Pirates, intent on cleaving him in half—until, without warning, a luminous blue circle materialized from an unseen source, expanding outward to encircle an enormous expanse of space, all in accordance with the user's Devil Fruit powers.
