Three months passed quietly after the war between vampires and mages ended. In this long stretch of time, the Dark Dimension regained its usual rhythm. The sky was always black yet warm like sunlight, the forest breathed with strange life, and the Castle of Foreverness stood tall like an ancient ruler.
Vampires worked through the nights hunting Night Beasts, strange creatures born from corrupted shadows. These beasts attacked villages and small clans, so destroying them became a daily duty for every vampire.
Oban also lived in the castle now. At first, everything felt new and exciting, but slowly the days became the same. Training, resting, watching the vampires hunt, eating together, then sleeping. A peaceful life… but also boring.
Oban lay on the stone balcony, staring at the never-changing sky, when suddenly—
TING!
A bright blue screen exploded in front of his face.
[SYSTEM QUEST ACTIVATED]Kill Night Beasts: Required Amount — 15Reward — Unknown
His system spoke in a sharp, robotic, but slightly playful tone.
[Come on, Oban. Get up. You're not built for boredom. Go hunt something.]
Oban smirked."Alright, alright. Seems like today won't be boring anymore."
He grabbed his vampiric blade and rushed out of the castle.
Hours Later
Oban walked back through the massive gate of the castle dragging the bodies of Night Beasts. Their skin was thick like iron, their bones sharp like natural blades, and purple smoke drifted lightly from their bodies.
Other vampires returned as well, each carrying three or four beasts. Oban dragged almost ten by himself.
Aijack, standing near the staircase, raised his eyebrows.
"You're bringing more than all the others again," he said with a small smile.
"They were easy," Oban answered. "System wanted fifteen. I got more."
Inside the huge workshop hall, vampires skinned the beasts and shaped their bones into weapons. The bones were famous for creating blades that could cut through even magic barriers. The skin turned into strong armor.
Oban placed his kills on a long table. Vampires clapped or nodded at him with respect. Once, he was an outsider. Now he was one of them.
Aijack's Thoughts
While watching Oban, Aijack suddenly remembered the past — the night Oban destroyed the war between vampires and mages. The moment when misunderstanding finally ended. If not for Oban, the bloodshed would still continue.
He stepped beside Oban."You know… I always think about that night."
Oban looked up. "Which one?"
"When you stopped the war," Aijack said slowly. "When you showed them we aren't monsters. Oban… you changed everything."
Oban felt shy and scratched the back of his head."I just did what felt right."
"No," Aijack said firmly. "You did what no vampire or mage could do in hundreds of years. You deserve respect."
Oban smiled softly at that."Thanks. I appreciate it."
They both stood there a moment, looking at the Night Beast bodies.
Aijack added, "You know, Oban, you're getting stronger. You keep breaking your limits again and again."
Oban laughed lightly."Well, I do always My best
Aijack laughed.
"You don't know the half of it," Oban muttered.
Klein & Allisa
In another part of the castle, Klein leaned against a balcony rail, speaking to Allisa who calmly read an old book.
"You saw him, right? Oban is surpassing himself every day."
Allisa didn't answer. She closed the book slowly.
Klein continued, "At this pace, he might become one of the strongest fighters in our whole dimension."
Allisa looked down at the training ground where Oban and Aijack stood.
"…He is different," she finally said in a quiet tone."That's all."
Klein grinned."That 'different' part is exactly why we trust him."
Allisa said nothing more, but her eyes stayed on Oban for a long moment.
Scene Shift — Oban & Aijack Again
Aijack leaned closer. "Oban, there's something I want to tell you."
"What is it?"
"In this world… vampires aren't the only race," Aijack said. His voice dropped lower.
Oban crossed his arms. "You mean… werewolves?"
Aijack nodded."Yes. Long ago, vampires and werewolves fought endlessly. For thousands of years. A war that never stopped."
"Are they still alive?"
"I don't know," Aijack whispered. "But lately… I feel something strange."
He lifted his eyes to the sky. The black moon glowed faintly, like a cold lantern.
"The world feels… restless."
Oban frowned.
"What do you mean?"
Aijack didn't answer.
Scene Shift — A Faraway Mountain
The world changed.
Far away from the castle, deeper than any vampire patrol ever reached, mountains stretched like dark giants. Trees stood tall and the wind carried a metallic scent.
A man ran through the forest, stumbling and screaming.
"Help! Somebody help!"
Branches cut his arms, but he kept running until he reached a cave hidden under thick roots. He crouched inside, breathing fast, shaking.
"It's after me… it's after me…"
For a moment everything was silent.
Then—
A hand shot out from the darkness.Pale. Clawed. Inhuman.
It grabbed the man by the mouth before he could scream and dragged him deep into the cave.
A muffled scream echoed through the forest.
Then silence.
The moon glowed brighter, almost glowing white.
And somewhere inside the forest… something growled.
