No sooner said than done.
Cang Du, the one most eager about the improved Blut, took a deep breath and immediately began manipulating the reishi between heaven and earth.
Unohana and the others could clearly see it—the reishi in the surroundings was being dominated by Cang Du's will.
It made them sigh at the Quincy's talent. Compared to Shinigami, Quincy truly felt like the world's chosen.
After all, Shinigami could only control the spiritual pressure within their bodies, while Quincy could command the reishi of the world itself.
As more and more reishi poured in, Cang Du's expression grew serious. He precisely spread the reishi across the surface of his blood vessels.
Once he finished, he could distinctly feel his arteries harden.
That alone made his heart fill with anticipation and excitement. He guided even more reishi than usual into his flowing blood.
In the next instant, dazzling blue patterns spread across Cang Du's body.
Bazz-B, Candice, and the others wore expressions of amazement—they could clearly sense Cang Du's power increasing.
Cang Du suddenly opened his eyes and threw a punch at Bazz-B beside him.
Bazz-B was intrigued. He neither dodged nor used any other ability—he only released his Blut Vene (Static Blood Armor) to defend.
"Come on. Let me see how much stronger you got."
The moment he finished speaking, Cang Du's heavy punch slammed into Bazz-B's chest.
Bazz-B's expression changed drastically. A terrifying force exploded at his chest, so overwhelming he could barely withstand it.
"This power...!"
Bazz-B clenched his teeth so hard they almost cracked, yet his body was still pushed backward, his feet carving two long marks into the ground.
Luckily, he wasn't blown away completely.
When the force finally dissipated, a trace of blood seeped from the corner of Bazz-B's mouth. He stared at Cang Du in shock.
"Hey, hey, hey—your power jump is way too big, you bastard!?"
He'd fought Cang Du before. Back then, Cang Du's raw strength could be fully blocked by his Blut Vene (Static Blood Armor).
But now, that single punch had increased by at least twenty to thirty percent.
To them, that was ridiculous.
They were Sternritter—when it came to physical might, they were already near the peak of the Quincy race.
Yet Cang Du had only just learned the improved Blut, and his strength still rose by twenty to thirty percent.
That kind of gain was almost on par with what you'd expect from a Complete Holy Form.
Cang Du pulled back his fist, no longer calm. He stared at it, brimming with excitement.
"All thanks to Legion Commander-sama teaching me this Blut. I only reinforced a few arteries, and I've already become this strong."
The other Quincy looked stunned, their eyes burning with fervor.
Joining the Military Police really had been the right choice.
Once they learned the improved Blut and returned to the Sternritter, they'd probably be able to press those guys into the dirt.
And they hadn't forgotten—Cole's skillset wasn't limited to this.
There was also that improved Saishū Keitai.
Cang Du collected himself and looked to Cole with deep respect.
"Legion Commander-sama, thank you for your guidance. I already understand how to use the improved Blut. I'll keep working hard."
What could Cole even say?
He hadn't expected Blut could be used like this either.
So he gave a dry laugh, praised Cang Du's learning attitude, and asked about his current state.
Cang Du clenched his fist, the blue patterns still crawling over it, unable to hide his excitement.
"Legion Commander-sama, I still can't reach your level—covering all blood vessels with reishi across the whole body. Right now I can only cover a few arteries."
"In this state, my Blut Vene (Static Blood Armor) doesn't improve much, because defense is mainly achieved through the capillaries."
"But arteries are the pillars of the entire body. I only strengthened those, and my strength has already increased by far more than before..."
The more he spoke, the more excited he became. His gaze at Cole grew even more reverent—bordering on worship.
His Schrift was Steel, known for brute force and defense.
Maybe this kind of increase wasn't as huge for other Quincy, but for him, his combat strength had practically doubled.
Cole nodded in a perfectly serious, totally not-made-up manner.
"Not bad. Keep training step by step. Once you can cover the capillaries, that's when you'll have truly mastered it."
"Yes, Legion Commander-sama!!"
Cang Du snapped a crisp military salute.
Cole was about to say more when a pink figure suddenly lunged straight at him.
"Legion Commander-sama, you're amazing! Minnie really admires you so much!"
The one who jumped into Cole's arms was none other than the "airhead" Meninas McAllon. The voluptuous onee-san type happily planted a flurry of kisses on him.
Honestly, Meninas' figure was incredible—soft all over, almost enough to rival Unohana.
Normally, Cole would've enjoyed it.
But right now, he only felt a stabbing pressure in his back—the girls' gazes were like knives aimed straight at him.
Rukia was practically grinding her teeth.
She knew it. This shameless high school brat—no matter where he went, he never forgot to flirt with pretty girls.
He claimed he'd come here to scout the enemy.
But the way she saw it, he'd come here to charm girls.
So in those two weeks he'd disappeared—was he really scouting, or was he doing something else the whole time?
Soi fong was furious too. If their current situation weren't so awkward, she would've kicked Cole on the spot.
In the past half month, this hateful brat had not only "won over" Yoruichi-sama—he'd even attracted this many girls.
Rukia might not know, but Soi fong had heard it directly from Yoruichi-sama.
The Sternritter had over thirty captain-class Quincy, yet only five were women.
And now, all five of those women had been swept into the Military Police by Cole.
The girls were seething—but Meninas, the one causing it all, didn't even spare them a glance, ignoring them completely.
To her, they were just ordinary soldiers.
If not for a freak like Cole, ordinary soldiers were nothing but ants to them.
Sure, these women were pretty.
Who knew which idiot, trying to curry favor with Legion Commander-sama, had deliberately "gifted" them to Cole as subordinates.
Meninas was so excited she even kissed Cole a few more times.
"Legion Commander-sama, Minnie learned your improved Blut! Minnie will become suuuper strong! Minnie admires you!"
Seeing how thrilled she was, the other Quincy couldn't help but smile.
They understood her excitement.
Meninas' Schrift was Power—so the improved Blut would boost her even more than it boosted Cang Du's Steel.
Her strength would rise by at least a full level—maybe more.
Once she mastered it, she'd leap straight into the top tier of the Sternritter.
"Alright, alright, Minnie—there are people watching. Stop clinging all over me..."
Cole awkwardly set her down. The glares behind him were getting sharper by the second.
Meninas didn't insist. Excited, she drew in reishi from the world around her.
Deep blue patterns appeared across her pale skin.
Her full figure looked even more alluring.
The others also began trying the improved Blut.
In a short time, the reishi in the area surged like a storm—blue torrents spiraled into their bodies like vortices.
Because covering the arteries with reishi wasn't that complex, they quickly succeeded as well.
But the moment they succeeded, they grew even more shocked—and even more in awe—of the power Cole wielded.
Only after trying it themselves did they understand how difficult it was to coat delicate blood vessels with reishi.
Large arteries weren't too hard.
Veins could be attempted too.
But those capillaries—finer than hair, countless as stars—were enough to make anyone despair.
Legion Commander-sama...
Just how far can his reishi control go...?
That thought surfaced in all of their minds at once.
Maybe Legion Commander-sama was even stronger than Jugram Haschwalth.
The moment they opened their eyes, each of them looked at Cole with excitement and reverence, loudly reaffirming their loyalty.
After that, Bazz-B excitedly started sparring with Cang Du.
Neither used any other ability—just Blut, trading punches like street punks.
Yet even at that level, every blow rang with the sound of metal striking metal.
Shockwaves burst from their fists again and again.
Bambietta and the other girls were itching to test their new power too.
But luckily, Cole stopped them, pointing at the ground with a dark expression.
"You idiots, stop! Do you even know how strong you are now? Are you trying to destroy the Military Police headquarters you just built?"
In just that short moment, the entire training ground had been reduced to ruins.
Reishi-formed bricks and tiles had become rubble scattered across the ground.
Pitted, cracked, uneven.
If they hit even a little harder, they wouldn't just wreck the training ground—they'd smash the entire Military Police base.
Then Cole wouldn't even have a place to live.
Everyone immediately looked embarrassed and scratched their heads.
After suddenly gaining that much power, even with a thousand years of composure, it was hard to stay calm.
Cole waved his hand.
"Test your abilities however you want, but first fix this training ground. After that, keep improving Blut. At minimum, you need to cover the veins too."
"Yes, Legion Commander-sama!!!"
Their excited shouts echoed over the ruins.
Then Bazz-B rubbed his hands, swallowed, and looked at Cole with anticipation.
"Um, Legion Commander-sama... I understand the improved Blut now, but your improved Saishū Keitai (Final Form)..."
At those words, everyone else turned their eager eyes toward Cole.
In their view, the improved Saishū Keitai (Final Form) was even stronger than the improved Blut—after all, it was once the Quincy's supreme technique.
More importantly, it boosted everything:
Strength, speed, defense, recovery, even the Holy Arrows, Schrift, and Complete Holy Form could all be enhanced.
If they could learn it...
Not just double—ten times, dozens of times might be possible.
Maybe they could even trade blows with Jugram Haschwalth.
Hearing that, Cole's head started to ache.
Forget an improved Saishū Keitai (Final Form)—even the Blut thing had only been something he'd stumbled into.
So Cole snorted coldly.
"Don't get ahead of yourselves. Master Blut first. You haven't even covered the veins yet."
Then, afraid they'd start asking even more troublesome questions, he turned and prepared to leave with Rukia and the others.
Cang Du and the group exchanged looks and didn't dare stop him.
But Bambietta was different. The moment she saw Cole leaving, she hurried over, cheeks flushed, and grabbed the hem of his clothes.
"Master-sama, take me with you... I really want to stay by your side these next couple of days."
As she spoke, Bambietta blushed even harder and lifted the chain at her neck, offering the end to Cole.
"...Huh?"
"...Huh?"
"...Huh?"
"...Huh?"
The women behind Cole widened their eyes, staring at Bambietta in disbelief.
What did she mean by that?
And what was that gesture supposed to be?
A collar?
A chain?
Was she a dog?
Cole once again felt that stabbing sensation on his back. If looks could kill, he'd have died hundreds of times over by now.
And at the worst possible time—there was no clean way to explain it.
When Cole didn't take the chain, and Bambietta noticed the women behind him staring, her expression instantly turned cold. A violent pressure surged from her as she glared at them.
"What are you looking at? Kneel."
She was a Sternritter—how could she tolerate being judged by ordinary soldiers?
If this weren't the wrong place, she might've already tried to kill them.
The women's eyes flared with anger, but they didn't know whether they could vent it. They clenched their fists instinctively.
Bambietta grew even more furious.
These damn soldiers—did they think being close to Master-sama meant they could stand equal to Master-sama's "pet"?
Just as Bambietta seemed ready to lash out, Cole suddenly yanked the chain, his voice turning icy.
"What do you think you're doing? You're still my subordinate—trying to act up again?"
Bambietta stiffened, her face turning red as she recalled the last few days of "discipline." Her legs went a bit weak.
"Master-sama... I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that..."
She looked up at Cole with bashful reverence.
Cole snorted.
"Then hurry up and come with me. If you cause trouble again, you'll be staying right at my side."
Bambietta imagined the scene, her face flushing even more, and she hurriedly followed behind Cole, obedient as could be.
Even now, she still couldn't accept going any further than that.
Too embarrassing.
As a Sternritter, in the Wandenreich she was someone of terrifying status.
How could she let herself be made into a public laughingstock?
Still... a part of her couldn't help feeling oddly stirred by the thought.
Bambietta subconsciously pressed her legs together, cheeks burning.
