After leaving the kitchen, Emiya glanced around the restaurant.
It was completely packed.
There was even a long line outside the door.
It would take at least a few hours before things quieted down.
After thinking for a moment, Emiya decided to leave the restaurant and head to the dungeon.
During his time in the world of Cooking Master Boy, aside from tasting Madam Pai's cooking, he had also completed his Nen beast.
The Dragon of Greed.
From the outside, it was a pure five-clawed golden dragon.
As an Asian, Emiya had naturally chosen an Eastern dragon.
After creating it, however, the Dragon of Greed never had a chance to show its power.
The reason was simple.
There were barely any monsters in that world.
Now that he was back in the DanMachi world, Emiya planned to head into the dungeon and properly test it.
Soon, he arrived at the dungeon entrance and entered the first floor.
As he moved away from the crowds and went deeper, monsters began to appear more frequently.

Behind him, a five-clawed golden dragon appeared.
It had deer horns, a camel's head, rabbit eyes, a snake's neck, a clam's abdomen, fish scales, eagle claws, tiger palms, and cow ears.

The moment it saw monsters, it shot forward.
Its jaws opened.
One monster was bitten and swallowed whole.
The dragon was over ten meters long.
Its mouth could easily swallow a cow.
One monster was nothing.
After devouring it, pure life force flowed through the Dragon of Greed and poured into Emiya's body.
Emiya felt like he'd stepped into a hot spring.
Comfort spread through him.
At the same time, his Nen increased slightly.
More than several days of hard training.
Emiya's eyes lit up.
He issued another command.
The Dragon of Greed surged forward, swallowing monsters one after another.
It was absurdly fast.
The monsters couldn't react at all.
Most were eaten the instant they appeared.
The monsters' life force was divided in two.
One portion remained within the Dragon of Greed.
The other entered Emiya's body, was absorbed, and converted into aura.
The remaining life force inside the dragon, aside from a small part it absorbed itself, was mostly stored.
Reserved for saving lives later.
After killing several monsters, Emiya frowned.
It wasn't enough.
The monsters on the first floor were simply too weak.
The life force they provided was minimal.
Not nearly enough to save a person's life.
So Emiya continued downward.
First floor.
Second.
All the way to the tenth floor.
With each level, the monsters grew stronger.
Their life force became richer.
Emiya took everything head-on.
The moment a monster appeared, the Dragon of Greed devoured it.
By the time he reached the tenth floor, hundreds of monsters had already died.
For the dungeon, that was nothing.
A drop in the ocean.
But for Emiya, it was substantial.
At the very least, the aura in his body had doubled.
Maybe more.
The Dragon of Greed had also stored an enormous amount of life force.
Some of it was absorbed directly.
Its body visibly expanded.
From a little over ten meters to more than twenty.
Its speed increased.
Its defense strengthened.
Its power grew even more terrifying.
Half an hour later, Emiya reached the seventeenth floor.
Minotaurs.
Minotauros.
In the original story, Ais Wallenstein and Bell Cranel's bond had started with one of these monsters.
But because of Emiya and Loki's interference, that storyline had long since collapsed.
Seeing the minotaurs now, Emiya felt complicated.
Even so, he had no intention of letting them go.
Their life force was abundant.
Perfect nourishment for the Dragon of Greed.
He gave the order.
The Dragon of Greed appeared above a minotaur.
It bit down on its upper body.
Swallowed it whole.
The surrounding minotaurs roared and drew their weapons.
Axes slammed into the dragon's body.
The Dragon of Greed didn't dodge.
Sparks flew as metal scraped against its scales.
Not a single scratch.
While digesting its prey, it looked down at the minotaurs.
Disdainful.
They were nothing.
It opened its mouth again.
Two.
Three.
Several minotaurs disappeared in one gulp.
Then its tail lashed out.
Crack. Crack. Crack.
Minotaurs were sent flying one after another.
Several landed right in front of Emiya.
He walked over calmly.
Grabbed one by the head.
Life Drain.
In an instant, massive life force surged into his body.
The minotaur shriveled visibly.
Within a few breaths, it turned into a dry corpse.
Then ash.
Not even a magic stone remained.
When Emiya drained its life force, the energy of the magic stone was drained as well.
He repeated the process with the others.
One by one.
All their life force was absorbed.
Emiya let out a small burp.
His face was flushed.
Energy overflowed from his body.
To an outsider, it would've looked like some kind of evil ritual.
Which wasn't entirely wrong.
Life Drain was a lich skill.
Calling it evil magic wasn't a stretch.
"Oh? If it isn't Emiya."
A voice sounded from behind him.
Emiya turned around.
A familiar group.
The elite of the Loki Familia.
Riveria Ljos Alf.
The Sword Princess, Ais Wallenstein.
The Amazon sisters, Tiona and Tione.
And Lefiya Viridis.
The one who spoke was Tiona.
"Oh, it's you guys," Emiya said, surprised.
"What a coincidence."
"Here to dungeon dive too?" Tiona asked.
She nodded herself.
"We're here to get used to our Nen abilities."
Emiya glanced at them.
Just like Gin Dojima and the others, they had already learned Nen.
And gone further.
They'd developed abilities of their own.
Tiona stared at the Dragon of Greed rampaging through the minotaurs.
"Is that your Nen ability?"
"That's right," Emiya replied.
"It's my Nen beast. The Dragon of Greed. It devours monsters' life force. Part of it strengthens me. The rest is stored."
He continued calmly.
"If needed, I can use that stored life force. It gives me perfect endurance. With enough, it can regenerate lost limbs. It might even revive the dead."
Everyone's eyes widened.
"Hey, hey, that's way too much of a cheat," Tiona said.
Emiya smiled.
It really was.
"And you guys?" he asked.
"What abilities did you develop?"
Tiona puffed her cheeks.
"You can't compare us. My sister and I are Enhancers. We reinforce our fists and weapons. Our abilities boost our skills to 200%. Even 300%."
"That's not bad," Emiya said.
"Simple. And perfect for you."
Tiona grinned proudly.
"With this, we've already piled up enough great feats. We're Level 6 now."
"Impressive," Emiya said, giving a thumbs-up.
He turned to Riveria.
"What about you?"
"I'm a Transmuter," Riveria replied calmly.
"My ability alters the properties of my magic and increases its power."
Emiya nodded, then looked at Ais.
"I'm an Emitter," Ais said.
"I can do this."
She drew her sword.
A light swing.
A sharp slash flew out and cleaved a distant minotaur in two.
Emiya blinked.
That wasn't really sword aura.
It was closer to a flying slash.
Similar, but different.
He nodded in approval.
"That's a very good ability. If you keep going, you might one day release a slash that stretches a thousand meters."
"A thousand meters?" Tiona said instinctively.
"Isn't that a bit much?"
Thump.
Tione slapped her on the head.
"Shut up, idiot. It's a goal. Do you even understand that?"
At that moment, the Dragon of Greed roared.
Its tail swept through the minotaurs.
Several were smashed into the wall.
They burst into brilliant sprays of blood.
Brutal.
Yet strangely beautiful.
Tiona asked, "Why aren't you eating them? Isn't that a waste?"
Emiya shook his head.
"No."
"I'm full."
