When Yujiro saw the initial fights, he didn't have much of a reaction.
The only thing that surprised him was that the other Kusa team passed.
After the matches were decided, the contestants left the tower and the forest of death to their own destinations.
Yujiro on his way home, wasn't thinking of what kind of training he would need to do for the preparations for the chunin exams.

He had requested one of the clans elders to organize a Jonin to fight against him along side of critiquing what he did wrong.
The reason he picked this option instead choosing to learn another Jutsu or training his physique, was simply because in terms of ninjutsu, he had a good arsenal of supportive, offensive and defensive ninjutsus, along with that if he chose to train his physique, he wouldn't make significant progress in just months time.
The one thing he thought he lacked the most was simply combat experience.
And this was despite him being pummeled to the ground by Hiramasu, in their training sessions.
But in his opinion, fighting against a Jonin, who held back against him, yet was far more powerful than him would put him in a tough spot which would help him hone his experience.
