"We got him!" A flash of satisfaction crossed Naruto's face, the thrill of impending vengeance.
"Die!" Sasuke's eyes remained cold, though his killing intent grew sharper.
In that instant, their palms were only a centimeter from Li Yao's chest.
At Six Paths-level speed, a centimeter meant nothing—it was as fast as teleportation. They could strike almost instantly.
Both of them believed they had succeeded. They thought Li Yao couldn't possibly react in time—at most, he could use some instinctive spatial trick like phasing to escape.

Naruto sensed that the golden energy wasn't Kurama's—it was Li Yao's own chakra.
