"Luce, you cannot be serious," Elio said, going after a drunk Luciano who was singing at the top of his voice with Giorgio, as they staggered through the halls.
"You're married? How did that fucking happen?" Salvatore questioned right beside him.
Luciano ignored both, as he used his bottle in place of a mic.
He would sing a verse of jumbled, chopped up words, and then pass the bottle to Giorgio who did the same.
They laughed like a pair of teenagers with unresolved trauma, as they moved through the halls.
This went on for about thirty minutes, before they finally both fell to the ground in the middle of a path.
Salvatore and Elio exchanged looks.
"I'll get on it," Elio said, walking away.
In less than ten minutes, an announcement had gone round.
No one was to pass that particular path. They couldn't afford for anyone to see the boss in that condition.
When morning came, Luciano had a headache so great, his vision blurred for two minutes straight.
