"You're more than staff to him."
She doesn't respond.
But her silence is answer enough.

Manager Park signals.
The group moves silently through the hallway.
Haejin's door—Room 1, end of the hall—is slightly ajar.
The cameras slipped in an hour ago while he was dead asleep.
The feed shows him sprawled across his bed. One arm flung over his eyes. Blanket tangled around his legs.
He's wearing simple sleep clothes. White t-shirt. Cotton pants.
His hair is completely unstyled. Sticking up in approximately seven different directions.
He looks young like this.
Vulnerable.
Nothing like the polished idol the world sees.
The camera operators inside give a thumbs up through the crack.
Ready.
Manager Park counts down silently.
