Chapter 377 - Chapter 377 Witness

Shortly after leaving Fausto's house, Johnny received a text message.

"Mission reward of 5.2 million has been deposited into your card. Three gold coins are in a phone booth 200 meters from the border checkpoint."

After reading the text message, his phone suddenly started to flicker. Such a familiar feeling!

Johnny's mouth twitched, and he directly threw the phone away.

Crack!

The thrown phone made a crisp sound, accompanied by a puff of black smoke.

What a déjà vu scene. The only difference was probably that this phone didn't explode.

After leaving the villa, he drove away.

At eight o'clock the next morning, Johnny arrived near the border checkpoint. There was indeed a phone booth there, but no one ever went inside.

Johnny walked in, looked around, and saw something wrapped in a plastic bag on top of the telephone set inside the booth.

He reached out and took it down. It felt a bit heavy. Johnny tore open the plastic bag, and inside were three gold coins. He placed the gold coins into the inner pocket of his suit.

Johnny then left and drove his car towards the border checkpoint.

Mexico is full of drug lords, and they often open fire in the streets, so it's not very safe. It's better to go back to Texas first.

But he didn't know that from the moment he walked into the phone booth, a pair of eyes had been watching him from afar, and his photo had been taken and sent out.

After entering the border checkpoint, a long line of vehicles waiting for clearance came into view. Johnny quietly lined up and waited.

Just then, several cars slowly drove up from behind and stopped on either side of Johnny, and behind him.

At that instant, Johnny felt an extremely strong sense of crisis surge through him.

This feeling hadn't appeared for a long time, but every time it did, it was accompanied by danger. So Johnny immediately looked left and right, then pulled out his FN57 from under his armpit.

Without thinking, he aimed and fired at the people in the car to his left.

Bang bang bang bang!

At such close range, Johnny didn't even need to aim. He fired four shots in a row, each a headshot.

Then, Johnny quickly pushed the door open and got out, rolling towards the rear wheel. The gun in his hand was aimed at the car behind him, and he fired again instantly, because he saw that the people inside had already pulled out their firearms.

Bang bang bang bang bang bang!

Six shots in a row took care of the people in the car behind him.

Bang bang bang bang!

Another four-shot burst sent the people on the right to their demise.

Johnny wiped the cold sweat from his forehead. Damn it, this ambush was a bit absurd. Why would someone target him?

Johnny's gaze quickly scanned the surroundings. The people were all looking at him indifferently. Soon, Johnny noticed a guy whose eyes were on him, while also constantly shifting his gaze to the distance.

He immediately walked towards that person with his gun raised. After reaching the car, he directly smashed the car window with the gun stock.

Immediately after, the muzzle of the FN57 was pointed at him. "Who sent you to follow me?"

Johnny's perception was very accurate; this guy was indeed problematic. After Johnny's sudden move, coupled with him having just killed twelve people in a row, the man was clearly panicked.

"Sorry, my superior ordered me to keep an eye on you," the man immediately sold out his superior.

Through a few brief words, Johnny immediately determined that this was a drug lord operating near the border station, colluding with the police.

He didn't know why they found out someone would go to that phone booth, so they sent someone to stake out.

And those people Johnny killed were clearly there to kill him, so Johnny immediately dragged him out of the car.

"Now take me to see your boss!"

Johnny was not someone with a good temper. If I don't offend others, others don't offend me, but if others offend me, I will wipe out their entire family!

And so, the stakeout guy turned Johnny's car around and drove towards the Mexican border.

The Mexican border police didn't care about any of this. They just glanced at them indifferently and let them pass.

But Johnny noticed that someone was still tailing them. A motorcycle was hanging back in the distance.

"It seems the collusion between drug dealers and the police is quite serious," Johnny could tell by instinct that the person following behind was definitely from the border police.

How could Johnny let him keep following?

As the car turned a corner, the guy was still following. Johnny directly extended his FN57 out the window and fired a shot directly at him.

The 5.7mm armor-piercing bullet directly blew out his front tire.

The reason he didn't aim at the person was because Johnny temporarily didn't want to cause a bigger incident.

Going to find that drug lord was purely out of Johnny's curiosity.

Moreover, if that drug lord wasn't eliminated, there would likely be endless troubles. What if he put a bounty on him? What then?

So the best solution was to eliminate future problems.

Soon, the car stopped in front of a not-so-tall house. The man pointed into the distance and said, "Further ahead is Tala's stronghold. I can't go any further."

Johnny looked at the somewhat dilapidated small building not far away. It was hard to imagine that drug lords always chose such places, but on second thought, such places indeed offered strong concealment.

"You promised to let me go," the man's eyes, looking at Johnny, held a hint of pleading.

Johnny got out of the car and then said, "You can go."

Receiving Johnny's consent, the man was overjoyed, while also secretly cursing in his heart. He got out of the car and slowly retreated backward. Seeing no reaction from Johnny, he became a bit bolder.

He turned to run, but Johnny raised his gun.

"I did promise to let you go, but I never said I'd let your body go."

With that, Johnny pulled the trigger of his glock 19.

A 9mm bullet directly pierced through the man's head.

Thud!

The body, still running, suddenly lost all strength and fell directly to the ground, his face still bearing a sinister smile.

Then, Johnny put away his gun, took out the HK417 from the car's trunk and slung it over his back, then took out several magazines and placed them in his tactical vest, and walked towards the building.

"I also want to know who is so brave as to dare to assassinate me."

Meanwhile, in the hall of that seemingly abandoned small building, a group of people were filming with their phones, and in front, five people with hoods over their heads were crying out hysterically.

One of the hooded drug lords pulled a man, kicked him violently to the ground, then took a fire axe handed to him by a companion. He weighed it in his hand twice, then looked at the camera and made a smiling expression.

After trying it out and finding the feel good, he looked at the guy lying on the ground. He ripped off the man's hood. The man, seeing light again, opened his eyes and saw a group of drug dealers surrounding them.

One of them held a fire axe, and he immediately knew what his end would be.

Sure enough, the next second, the guy swung the fire axe fiercely, then brought it down on his neck. Blood splattered everywhere, and the person filming nearby was extremely excited.

They would publish this video online as propaganda and a warning.

This was the madness of Mexican drug dealers, and everyone had long become accustomed to it, treating it as a form of entertainment.
