Sophie blinked, a small crease forming between her brows. "Notice… what? Did something happen?"
Bruce shook his head, tension tightening across his shoulders. Sophie's expression was honest. She truly hadn't sensed it. She hadn't detected even a fraction of Bane's Domain release.
Which meant Bane had done all of that in a sealed layer of reality she wasn't allowed to perceive.
And it also meant something else, the domain had messed with Bruce's perception of time. Inside it, it felt like minutes had passed. Heavy, stretched, suffocating minutes. But outside… it couldn't have been more than a heartbeat or two. If it was longer, Sophie would've noticed something.
Instead, she had felt nothing at all.
Bruce's jaw tightened slightly at the thought.
Whatever Bane was… whatever level he operated on… it wasn't something normal.
Bruce sighed softly, a low breath leaving him as the weight of the encounter settled.
