Damian returned to his office just after noon, the lingering edge of irritation from the meeting still clinging to him. The discussion had dragged longer than necessary, filled with half-truths and cautious pauses that told him more about what wasn't being said than what was, he had simply told Maxwell to schedule another meeting when they were ready with a better proposal. It didn't help that that vance had ruined his mood by showing up that morning.
"Make sure they send in the new proposal by tomorrow morning, Mr Garcia will be expecting our response soon and I don't want to keep him waiting" Damian instructed Maxwell who followed closely behind him, careful not to say anything that would put damian in a worse mood.
