*Author note: Sorry for not uploading for the past few weeks. For the first two weeks I had stuff to do then by the third I forgot and lost motivation, but I'm trying to get back into writing.*
As I continue to explore the forest, I decided to use my senses again since I was a few kilometers out from my original area.
As my senses expanded outwards, I started to perceive signs of life but one thing that caught my attention was the sound of clashing which can only be created by a sword.
'Interesting~, should I go check it out?'
With that realization I gradually grew more curious and couldn't help but want to explore and see who it was, but I was still a bit hesitant.
Even if not explicitly mentioned there was an unwritten rule where you could take out other participants as long as they weren't killed or crippled. This could allow you to take out competition and raise your potential score.
If I had to guess why a rule against it wasn't made, I would say they wanted to simulate the real world and teach how people could turn against each other for profit.
With this said I wasn't completely sure how powerful they were, and I couldn't confirm that I could defend myself if attacked. I may be able to run away if push came to shove but the thought of running left a bad taste in my mouth.
'You know what, fuck it! Running away if threatened isn't cowardly, it's a smart decision,' I thought with the conviction of a shameless man.
With my mind now made up I decided to head in the direction of the fighting.

As I was nearing the fight I activated shadow stealth to avoid being noticed.
As my body started to sink into the shadows, I remained hidden as I went up on a tree 20 meters away, allowing me a good view of what was happening.
There were two individuals in a fight and surprisingly one of them was Blake. He was fighting against five people at the same time, but he didn't seem concerned, it looked more like he was merely humoring them.
He effortlessly blocked the blade of one of them, dodged a second blade from behind them, and dodged arrows and magic fired from afar.
One thing I noticed is that even with the four others putting in effort to take him down, the last one remained still with an arrogant look on his face. The others were most likely his subordinates.
I watched for a bit more when the leader finally spoke.
"Have you learned your lesson peasant. If you kowtow and beg for forgiveness I may forgive you and let you off with merely a warning," he said with contempt seemingly thinking Blake was only barely dodging the others.
'Is this a scene straight out of a novel?'
"Yeah!" One of his lackeys shouted from behind. "If you beg young master Remington, he may spare you further humiliation!"
'It really is a scene straight out of a novel! I never thought I'd see something like this in real life.'
'Wait! Does that mean Blake really is the main character!? Does that make me a side character?' I started to ponder.
'It's starting to make sense! The main character always has some hidden backing like a rich best friend or love interest.'
'With my reincarnation I thought I would be the main character,' I thought slightly depressed, but then another thought came to me cheering me up. 'If I can't be the main character then I'll be the op support or the living plot armor.'
Detaching myself from my thought I decided to focus on what was going on. One thing I noticed was that the leader had pretty decent looks with an elegant face, emerald eyes, blonde hair, and a lean figure. If it wasn't for his arrogance, he could even be considered an androgynous beauty. He also possessed pointed ears, a characteristic of elves.
The elf seemed to be wearing pretty expensive clothes making me curious as to how Blake offended them. It wasn't as if he goes around making enemies left and right, he's usually quite restrained if you don't take his pride into account.
Taking a guess, he most likely ran into the elf somewhere, thought Blake did something wrong but Blake didn't think so, so he didn't apologize for it. Their pride most likely didn't allow either of them to back down so they became enemies.
Thinking about my guess I held utmost confidence. Afterall, I felt that my knowledge on Blake's personality was adequate and my guess should be at least 80% correct.
"IMPOSSIBLE!"
Hearing the shout, I looked over revealing the scene of Blake standing while everyone except the elf was knocked out. Seeing this I was a bit disappointed as I missed the scene of Blake deciding to stop playing around while lost in my thoughts.
'Damn! I missed the show. Well, it probably wasn't that much of a show.'
Not wanting to miss even more I quickly refocused to what was happening.
The elf was sitting on the ground with his back to a tree as Blake approached him with a blade. The elf seemed to be panicking but a hesitant resolve could be seen in his eyes.
In one quick motion he put his hands on the ground as the earth started to rumble. Nearly the entire area began to shake, and the trees seemed to be nearly unrooted from the ground.
The ground cracked as several roots and vines emerged and surged toward Blake. All of the vines and roots were intertwined causing it to resemble the shape of a 10-meter-tall wave.
"Hahaha! Take this you bastard!" He shouted at Blake with a disheveled appearance. It seemed that he put all of his mana into the attack and was now extremely exhausted to the point of nearly passing out.
I was tempted to intervene and help Blake, but I decided against it. I never saw Blakes true power before, so this was a great opportunity to see it.
As I looked at Blake, he seemed to sneer at the attack as his body started to shift. Black scales started to emerge from his body as his form swelled, his mouth elongated, his limbs transformed growing claws, and his eyes turned crimson.
In just a few seconds he completely transformed turning into a 5-meter-tall dragon with black scales and crimson eyes. One thing I noticed is that each of his scales had intricate symbols on them as if engraved but for some reason it felt like they lacked power.
After I finished observing his dragon form, I was truly amazed. Even if he wasn't the biggest in size, his form was majestic in an intimidating way.
Quickly I noticed a faint red glow rising from neck beneath his scales. His chest rose as his neck bulged.
He opened his mouth releasing a flame so intense that they were nearly turning blue. The second the flames touched the vines and roots they were instantly burned to ash.
Blake started to walk towards the elf as they started to panic and crawl backwards.
"N-no! Stay back!" He screamed in a panic, but Blake ignored them and continued to walk towards them.
As he approached the elf, the fear in his heart continued to rise and he eventually passed out, out of fear.
"Tch, coward," Blake sneered, transforming back into a human form.
"Impressive Blake," I said revealing myself. "I didn't expect you to have such outstanding firepower."
"I didn't expect to run into you here," he said surprised at my appearance.
"Well, I heard a commotion and decided to check it out. To be honest I didn't even know it was you until I got here," I said while smirking. "Who knew that I would just happen to run into you."
"Haha, it really is a huge coincidence," he said. "Well, since I ran into you how has your exam been so far?"
"Not the best, I have barely run into any creatures of high grades. I have encountered quite a few, but high grades eluded me. How about you?"
"I have been pretty well. I have had quite a bit of luck in finding different creatures and managed to accumulate a good number of points."
"That's good," I said giving him a smile. "Well, I should be going now, I don't want to delay both of us from getting a good score."
"Later Lucious," he said waving to me. "Good luck."
"Later," I said returning the gesture.
