Chapter 133 - Chapter 133: The Most Important Thing Is to Live in Comfort

"That damn cow won't stop mooing—so noisy it's driving me insane!" Kairen was visibly irritated.

Tsunade had been nagging him endlessly; even when Kairen tried to learn some cooking skills, she wouldn't stop complaining.

He finally stood up and shouted at her, "You're whining! At this rate, I doubt you'll ever manage to sit on anything properly again!"

"Here's the ladle—why don't you do it yourself then?!"

"Click!"

Kairen snapped his fingers, and in an instant, his outfit transformed into that of a master chef—complete with a dragon totem coiling around his left arm.

"When it comes to cooking, leave it to me—Master Chef, at your service!"

Kairen strode into the Four Pillars House and entered the kitchen. With a quick hand sign, he created about twenty Shadow Clones and ordered them to start preparing ingredients.

Tsunade stepped out of the kitchen and leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, watching coldly. She wanted to see what kind of dish this little kid could possibly make.

But as she watched, her initial look of disdain slowly shifted—first to surprise, then to shock—as she saw dishes begin to glow faintly on the table.

...

Night fell.

No lights were turned on in the wooden cabin. Only the warm flicker of yellow candlelight illuminated the room, swaying gently to the rhythm of soft, intoxicating music. The air carried a subtle fragrance of roses.

The Shadow Clones draped a white cloth over the wooden table, lit candles, and began placing beautifully crafted dishes one after another.

Tsunade, Shizune, and Kurenai sat politely in their chairs, curious about the setup around them.

Kairen had changed into a suit and sat quietly across from them. His calm, refined demeanor gave off the air of a nobleman.

"Let's begin! Our family's candlelight dinner!"

Tsunade tilted her head, question marks practically floating above her head. The romantic music, the atmosphere—it was all too much. She shook her head, deciding not to overthink it, and simply reached out for food.

Tsunade pinched Kairen's cheek with one hand.

"You little kid, what kind of mischief is brewing in that head of yours?"

Kairen's face twisted under her grip, and he mumbled, "Nothing, Tsunade! It's just a normal dinner!"

"We should eat quickly—my clones already prepared the rooms inside. Once we finish dinner, it's time for the bridal chamber."

"Bridal chamber?! What's that supposed to mean?" Tsunade's brows furrowed in confusion. The Shinobi world's customs weren't quite the same as Kairen's strange antics.

"Enough talk!"

Kairen stabbed a piece of beef with his fork and pushed it toward her mouth, feeding her directly to shut her up.

Tsunade, Shizune, and Kurenai quietly savored Kairen's cooking—and were all pleasantly surprised.

Tsunade gave him a thumbs-up.

"Not bad at all! You've got talent as a chef. If you ever quit being a ninja, you could open your own restaurant."

"Yeah! Maybe a breakfast shop—specializing in fried dough sticks and soy milk! Especially for the pretty kunoichi!"

"A breakfast shop sounds fine too!"

They chatted and laughed as they enjoyed a dinner unlike anything in the Shinobi world, talking occasionally about the day's intense events.

Kairen swallowed a piece of lobster and said seriously, "Tsunade, you saw it yourself today—the higher-ups act however they please."

"I could die unjustly at any time. And I'm sure many shinobi before me have already met that same fate."

Nawaki, Dan Katō, White Fang, Kairen's unlucky father, and countless Senju who had blended into the civilian population…

Tsunade bit into one of Kairen's quail eggs, listening in silence.

Her heart was already filled with disappointment toward Konoha's leadership. She had even clashed with her own teacher earlier that day—calling him by name to his face.

Though things hadn't completely fallen apart yet, the crack had formed—and with every word from Kairen, that crack only grew wider.

Seeing her silent, Kairen continued, "Tsunade, you don't want to see them try to make another move against me, do you?"

"I'm not afraid of them—but you and the others are my weakness. I won't let them use you to threaten me again!"

Both Shizune and Kurenai's faces turned pale at his words.

Earlier that morning, they had been captured, forcing Kairen to hold back and giving Root's shinobi the chance to exploit a weakness.

Tsunade raised her head and met his gaze.

"So what do you want to do?"

"I want to slaughter those three old bastards right now!"

Tsunade shook her head. "No. If you do that, Konoha will fall into chaos."

Kairen's power of destruction was truly terrifying—he could now be summed up in one phrase:

Whether Konoha falls into chaos or not—it's up to Kairen!

Kairen gripped Tsunade's wrist. "Then you should become Hokage!!"

"Hokage?!"

Tsunade's brown eyes widened as she looked up at the determined young man before her. For a moment, it was as if a flame had been kindled within them.

Kairen spoke clearly, "You're the only one I trust in this village. I don't trust anyone else. If you become Hokage, I'll stand by your side and support you."

"Men and women working together—it's less tiring that way."

Tsunade brushed his hand aside, lost in thought.

The fear she had felt earlier that day resurfaced. She couldn't let Kairen be hurt again, yet she alone didn't command enough power to protect him.

And she was utterly disillusioned with the upper echelons. Instead of waiting for Kairen to grow strong enough to seize the position of Fifth Hokage, perhaps it would be better if she herself became the Fourth—and shattered the corrupt alliance of clans and power-mad leaders.

Seeing the hesitation in her eyes, Kairen pressed harder.

"Tsunade, you know my potential in warfare. Once you secure a command position, I'll help you win every battle. At that point, won't the title of Fourth Hokage be practically yours?"

Tsunade pondered deeply, then looked up at him.

"Do I really have what it takes to become Hokage?"

"Of course you do!"

Kairen moved behind her and began massaging her shoulders.

"You might not use Fire Release jutsu, but you're still the best candidate. Your medical ninjutsu is unmatched, and you already have plenty of supporters."

"And your heart is far broader than that petty, small-minded old Sarutobi Hiruzen."

Listening to Kairen's analysis, Tsunade suddenly slammed her palm on the table, her old fiery spirit rekindled.

"Fine! Then I'll compete for the position of Fourth Hokage!"

She had already overcome her hemophobia—she was no longer the woman who once trembled at the sight of blood. There was no hurdle she couldn't cross now.

"That's the spirit! The most important thing is to live in comfort, Tsunade. Forget the past—live vibrantly!"

"Alright!"

Kairen continued seriously, "Our first step is to secure the position of Hokage's Assistant!"

After Danzō's death, the Hokage's Assistant seat had been left vacant. Don't underestimate it—this role carried real authority, practically placing its holder among the village's top brass.

Tsunade nodded. "Mm!"

Kairen smiled, glancing at the listening Shizune and Kurenai. Both of them smiled back.

For the first time in a long while, the future seemed bright—no more suffocating darkness pressing down on their chests.

"Since we've finished dinner, let's head to the bridal chamber!"

...

In the end, Kairen didn't make it that far. The moment he stepped into Tsunade's room, he was met with her devastating Heavenly Kick—and sent flying right back out.

Kairen picked up Wolon and Fenchu, the two little panda cubs, and trudged upstairs to his own room. Tossing them onto the bed, he leaned against the window, feeling the chill of the night wind.

Outside, in the training grounds below, Canon patrolled with over a dozen bodyguards in suits and sunglasses. Doctor Snake and the Academic Genius were tirelessly practicing ninjutsu, surrounded by twenty Shadow Clones honing their Water Release techniques. Ma Kairen and Afu Kairen were sparring nearby, comparing their skills.

All of his clones were busy working—while the real Kairen simply watched them from above.
