Chapter 144 - Chapter 144: I Couldn't Sleep Anyway

She took back what she said earlier. If Kairen hadn't found her pretty, the moment she barged into his house back then, she would've been beaten into a sieve.

Kairen looked out the window at the sky already filled with countless stars, the air carrying a drowsy atmosphere that made one want to sleep.

He looked at the peerless beauty sitting in the chair hugging a panda and said:

"It's already late. Come up and warm the bed!"

Yakushi Nono held silent, simply staring quietly into Kairen's eyes.

Those eyes carried an intellectual beauty, releasing endless kindness that could slowly erase the evil thoughts lurking inside a person's heart.

Including all those wild, galloping thoughts inside Kairen's head.

Kairen shook his head and smiled.

"Not teasing you anymore. Come here tomorrow and take me to see the orphanage!"

"Alright!"

Kairen snapped his fingers, and a wood clone re-formed and rose out from the floor.

"Pangolin Agent, return to your post. Go check on the Shimura family too, and keep a close eye on them for me. If they dare to mess with me—serve them toxic chicken soup!"

"Pangolin acknowledges. Mission will be completed!"

After Yakushi Nono and Pangolin left, Kairen ruffled Fenchu's fur, slowly crawled under the blankets, and suddenly realized he had forgotten something.

He nodded, turned into a puff of smoke, and entered Tsunade's room. After Tsunade blushed, he shifted back.

"Hmm~"

Kairen stroked Fenchu's fur. Fenchu whimpered softly, as if reminding Kairen of something.

Kairen sorted out his thoughts, suddenly froze—Yakushi Nono had taken his panda!

What was this? A guest leaving… and casually taking his panda with them?!

In Yakushi Nono's arms, Wolon: (´இ皿இ`)

Yakushi Nono shook her head. The sensation of petting it earlier had been too good. When she used Body Flicker, she unconsciously carried Wolon along. Now that she was at the orphanage, she might as well return it tomorrow.

Yakushi Nono looked at the baby panda, her heart filled with affection.

"Little one, come with me to the orphanage and make a bunch of new friends!"

...

The next day, Panda News Agency.

Shan held a newspaper and nodded.

"Exactly. The writing is sharp, a single strike straight to the heart. Call 50 shadow clones and give these out free to everyone in the village."

"Got it, Chief Editor!"

Morning. Kairen slowly sat up. He snapped his fingers, and three Yin-attribute chakras dressed him.

One clone patiently helped Kairen put on his clothes, Zero-Two tidied his hair, and the other pouted on the side while fixing his bedding.

After everything was in order, Kairen dispelled them.

He quietly thought that at this rate, sooner or later he would lay hands on these Yin clones. He absolutely had to cure that psychotic impulse—or ask System to summon all his wives into the ninja world.

"Hmm~"

Fenchu climbed onto Kairen's shoulder as he slowly walked downstairs into the living room.

On the glass coffee table sat a newspaper—apparently delivered by the clones from the agency.

There was movement in the kitchen—two clones of Kairen, the chefs, preparing breakfast. Soon, a fragrant meal was brought out.

Kairen and Fenchu ate breakfast, Kairen crossed his leg, and slowly flipped through the thing Shan had produced.

Just the cover alone was shocking—Kairen hoisting a blade in one hand while grabbing Danzō's miserable head in the other, trampling the high-ups' dignity right into the ground.

The headline was also intense:

Shocking—whose subordinate is this?! Who dares step on Elder Danzō, one of the four high-ups of the village?!

Then below it introduced the events of the day before yesterday.

Danzō, a Konoha high-ranking leader, actually bullied a little genin and sent 500 jōnin to surround him, even wrecking the entire Forest of Death…

Then the newspaper exposed a whole series of vile deeds by the high-ups—causing White Fang's death, using the First Hokage's corpse for experiments, forcing the Senju Clan until only Tsunade remained…

Each evil deed was laid bare, each accompanied by images. The clones used Transformation to create them—doesn't matter if they were real or not, a picture alone made people believe 50%.

The content subtly pointed toward the corruption of Konoha's high-ups and the way major ninja clans controlled the village.

Kairen nodded. The more exaggerated the better, the more shocking the better, the more contradictions highlighted the better.

People running media these days all had black hearts—what mattered was stirring up the rhythm!

Kairen turned to another article, written by Blunt Kairen.

"When I opened the history of the ninja world to check, there were no years marked. Every slanted page was filled with the words 'Will of Fire.' I tossed and turned unable to sleep, and after staring at it for half the night, I finally saw the words hidden between the lines..."

"I don't know what the Third Hokage's Will of Fire is—

Is it sending civilians' children to war?

Is it letting the high-ups trample the dignity of the silent?

Or is it…"

"I have two sentences to give to the village high-ups:

The first is—Go to Hell!

The second is also—Go to Hell!"

"Hahahaha…"

Kairen clutched his stomach laughing nonstop. Too funny! Too good! The Sarutobi group would absolutely get high blood pressure when they saw this.

Tsunade came down the stairs wearing her kimono. Seeing Kairen laughing like a fool, she asked:

"You're laughing so ugly! What are you laughing at?!"

Tsunade slowly approached. Kairen handed her the newspaper, and during the handoff, his fingers brushed Tsunade's smooth jade arm.

Tsunade blushed, remembering last night's wild dream.

What's happening? Am I really this thirsty for him?!

Sigh… I'm a woman too. But it shouldn't be Kairen! He's so young, and he carries the responsibility of continuing the Senju bloodline. How could I monopolize him alone?!

But… he's so handsome… Who knows which girl will get him in the future? Might as well test the goods myself!

"Ding!"

"Tsunade now shows a moderate greed toward you!"

Kairen laughed in his heart—Tsunade was moderately greedy for him now. Looks like she'd make a move soon!

Tsunade shook away her improper thoughts and looked at the newspaper the clones created.

The title alone made her feel like reading. As she continued, her expression grew increasingly strange.

When she finished the article by Blunt Kairen, she grew calmer and nodded repeatedly.

"A genius! He is a genius. He directly exposes the relationship between ninja clans and civilians. He lays the village's contradictions bare on the page."

After finishing, Tsunade pinched Kairen's cheek.

"You'd better be careful. If those clans see this newspaper, they'll come after you!"

Kairen pouted.

"With those useless drunks and gluttons?"

If he felt like it, he could overturn the entire Konoha in an instant. Unless they were suicidal, the clans wouldn't dare come for him.
