Kushina wasn't happy. Watching Kairen dissolve into specks of starlight, tears streamed down her face.
"You big idiot, why did you use your own life to save me?!"
A powerful gust of wind swept through, and Kairen's presence completely vanished from Kushina's mental space.
The Nine-Tails' massive claw landed beside Kushina. Its fox head, like a mountain, leaned close as it stared at the red-haired woman in tears.
Hatred filled the Nine-Tails' heart. "Kushina, I'm going to kill you!"
Its huge claw struck downward, about to land on Kushina.
Kushina was still immersed in the shock of Kairen's death.

Kushina let out a huge sigh of relief.
"You really scared me to death!"
Kairen smiled, then turned to look at the short-tempered Nine-Tails.
"Nine-Tails, one who breaks their word must suffer the punishment. Accept judgment!"
The Nine-Tails bared its fangs, immense power surging from its body and pouring into its two claws.
"Human, don't overstep your bounds. I am the strongest tailed beast, the Nine-Tails. You don't get to judge me!"
The Nine-Tails opened its mouth, and a purple-black Tailed Beast Ball condensed within it. One shot would surely blast Kairen's Susanoo to pieces.
Kairen formed hand seals with both hands.
"Wood Release · Wood Golem Technique!"
A gigantic wooden arhat burst up from below, its size rivaling that of the Nine-Tails and Kairen's Susanoo.
The Nine-Tails' Tailed Beast Ball shot forth like a rocket. The Wood Golem caught it with one hand, forcefully intercepted it, and slammed it straight onto the Nine-Tails' head.

Kushina cheered for Kairen from behind.
"You can do it! That's it—subdue that big fox!"
Kairen controlled Susanoo to turn around, its massive arm making a sign to indicate everything was fine.
Seizing the opportunity, the Nine-Tails leaped and slammed into Susanoo, knocking it directly to the ground.
Its sharp claws, like blades, scraped against Susanoo's crystal as it mocked,
"You can't afford to be distracted in a fight."
"Trash fox, don't get arrogant!"
Kairen became serious. Forming hand seals with both hands, the Wood Golem that had been standing by suddenly moved, condensing a wooden spear and thrusting it toward the Nine-Tails.
"Wood Release · Thousand Years of Death!"
The Wood Golem's spear stabbed toward the Nine-Tails' backside, a truly vicious angle. One hit, and the Nine-Tails might not even be able to walk anymore.
The Nine-Tails noticed the Wood Golem's movement, its face darkening as it hurriedly jumped away.
After dodging the Thousand Years of Death, the Nine-Tails cursed at Kairen,

A faint smile crept onto the Nine-Tails' lips. Taking its strongest-form Tailed Beast Ball head-on—wasn't that courting death?
The smoke dispersed. According to the rule of "no injury when there's smoke," Kairen should have been unharmed.
But Susanoo was in tatters, half of it blown apart, barely maintaining a shrunken state.
Kairen had overestimated himself.
This was the complete Nine-Tails—full-power Tailed Beast Ball. Even Uchiha Madara wouldn't dare take it head-on.
The Nine-Tails frowned. After taking an ultra-high-power Tailed Beast Ball, Kairen should have been reduced to nothing, yet he still maintained half a Susanoo.

"Nine-Tails Mode—activate!"

A gigantic golden Nine-Tails energy avatar appeared out of thin air, immediately clad in a layer of fiery-red armor.
A true Majestic Attire Susanoo—very similar to Naruto and Sasuke's combination during the Fourth War.
