Connors thought it was very simple. Since Zatanna had decided to follow him during this time, she must also pull him into the fun when she ate melons. Not for anything else, just to enhance the rewards of the Melon-eating System.

He was being chased by the statue, and the entire museum was in chaos. The alarm had already sounded, and sirens could be heard outside. After dawdling any longer, Connors was not afraid of getting caught, but Diana, the "Wonder Woman," couldn't wait any longer. She stood on the other side and said loudly, "Throw it to me!"

"I won't throw it away. I'll run away if I give it to you," Connors said.

What Connors said gave Diana a headache, but because the thing was in someone else's hand, she had no choice but to deal with the statue. She grabbed the big sword and smashed it. The Lasso of Truth, which was not easily able to deal with the statue, was finally abandoned by her. Her sword slashed in a circle and hit the knot on one of the statue's legs, smashing it to pieces.

Good guy, a berserker from the Amazon?

Connors, looking at the great sword that had almost smashed himself, simply stuffed the cylinder into his pocket, turned around, and ran. When passing by Zatanna, he even whistled and picked her up while straddling Black Smoke.

The doors of the museum were closed, and a large group of Gotham policemen were outside. A small group of people were about to open the door and go in to catch the criminals who had destroyed the cultural relics when they heard the rapid sound of horse hooves. Then the door was opened hard, and Connors, riding Black Smoke, rushed away from the group of Gotham police officers who were about to break in, and chose a random direction to run all the way.

The Gotham police were dumbfounded, as was Diana, the "Wonder Woman," in the museum. No, man, are you sincerely causing trouble?

Dumbfounded, she realized that the thing was still with Connors, and "Wonder Woman" Diana was going to take it back anyway. So she also called out a pair of gray-black wings, and a skeleton horse with a dark frame rode up. The big sword was carried behind her. Holding the reins of the skeleton horse with one hand, she unbuttoned the Lasso of Truth at her waist with the other and followed Connors closely.

Two people riding very different war horses left one after another, and the Gotham police officers looked at each other, once again preparing to enter the museum to view the missing items.

In the museum, the statue with a broken leg jumped to the door of the museum, ignoring the tongue-tied expressions of the Gotham police, and chased Connors. The Gotham police officers saw the helplessness in each other's eyes, and Captain Gordon took out the walkie-talkie.

"On this side of the museum, staff are needed to count the damaged and lost items, plus helicopter support, and three men rode two horses toward the west."

"There is also a statue in the museum chasing behind it."

The efficiency of the Gotham police was very fast. Almost after Gordon finished reporting, the reply came: "Running too fast, lost. The statue also stood still after running a block and appeared to be dead."

Oh, it wasn't alive to begin with.

In the suburbs of Gotham, Connors asked Black Smoke to stop and looked at the "Wonder Woman" behind him who threw the Lasso of Truth at him, directly dispelling Black Smoke. As the black smoke disappeared, Connors and Zatanna's bodies also fell rapidly, just escaping Diana's lasso. He took out the cylinder in his pocket.

"What the hell is this?"

Retracting the failed Lasso of Truth, "Wonder Woman" Diana also crossed her horse and slowly stopped its hooves. "That's not what you should know."

Generally, when faced with other people's inquiries, the protagonists in the novel will come to this line, which Connors was not new to. He gave full play to his imagination.

"What was stolen from Catwoman and Batman should belong to the same object as this cylinder, right?"

"You are full of artifacts, and you don't have to worry about eating and drinking, nor do you have artistic pursuits like Catwoman. This thing should not be what you actively want to collect."

"It's important enough to make you leave your hero title of 'Wonder Woman' and engage in theft," he guessed. "It seems that either it is an instrument specifically designed to deal with a certain villain, or this thing involves some huge threat."

Connors guessed randomly, and then said what he had complained silently in his heart. "Diana, you don't want the people of Paradise Island to know about you running around the human world and stealing, do you?"

A rather difficult opponent… Help? Maybe.

"Wonder Woman" Diana's eyebrows lowered, and her voice said with some sadness, "No, there's no Paradise Island. A magical villain turned everyone on Paradise Island to stone."

"Unless I collect everything he wants and give it to him, he promises to restore everything to its original state."

Connors: "Oh."

Zatanna tugged at the hem of his trench coat. "Aren't you going to ask her who that magic villain is? Maybe I know some information." Zatanna did not know much magic at present, but she had been well-read and knew many secrets of the magical world since she was a child under the guidance of her father. Almost as soon as she heard the word "magic," Zatanna felt that she had made the right trip and might be able to learn more by taking advantage of this opportunity to be exposed to magic.

"Wonder Woman" Diana heard Zatanna whisper in a low voice. Continuing to pester the two men would only waste time, and she decided to pull them into the water. "His name is Faust, a human man with an ugly face in a dark blue robe."

"Faust? I understand. He studies black magic. In order to gain endless wisdom and immortality, he was originally a university professor." Connors knew a little bit and even told the origin of Faust faster than Zatanna on the side.

"Do you know him?" Diana wondered. Even she didn't know where this so-called Faust came from. But on Paradise Island, a magical petrified charm could turn everyone into stone, and a magic that made the charm disappear out of thin air allowed Wonder Woman to only collect items obediently. These two abilities allowed her to easily knock Faust down, but she could not restore the tribe to its original state. Therefore, after discovering that Connors knew about this Faust, she seemed to have found a savior.

"I don't know him, but I know that much about him," Connors said. There were two versions of Faust in his memory: one was Faust from Earth 3 in the DC New 52 universe. The other was the one he just mentioned. It was worth mentioning that Faust of Earth-3 was one of the members of the title "The Outsider" now used by Connors.

Connors said he didn't know him, but both Zatanna and Diana remained skeptical. "Wonder Woman" Diana said directly, "I am still one item short of being able to collect it all. If you can help me, I will thank you on behalf of the people of Paradise Island." The last missing thing, to be found according to the luminous thing given by Faust in Diana's hand, was suddenly targeting an uninhabited island not far from Paradise Island.

Connors couldn't fly, and Zatanna couldn't, so the two of them sat on the "Wonder Woman" skeleton horse together. "If only the wings had been removed and put on Black Smoke," Connors sincerely envied.

Holding the reins, Diana heard the man behind her staring at her war horse and said with vigilance, "Please take your hands away from the Lasso of Truth."

"Oops." Connors looked down and saw that his right hand, holding Diana's waist, was resting right on the Lasso of Truth hanging from her waist. He lowered his hands a little, trying to avoid the lasso, but in this way, the posture was a bit strange. At least he quietly poked his head behind him and looked at Zatanna. At this time, Connors was clearly holding "Wonder Woman" Diana's butt with his hands.
