c58 – Shocked Everyone
"Ahh!!"
Lin Hao exhaled sharply, his expression solemn as he clenched his fists and began to transform.
Golden flames burst skyward from his body, twisting the very atmosphere of the Sacred World of the Kai. Thunderclouds gathered above, swirling violently as silver-white lightning cascaded across the heavens. The energy radiating from him was suffocating each pulse of ki split the sky apart.
The shockwaves of power sent massive chunks of rock floating upward, orbiting him like satellites. Lakes rippled violently before their waters spiraled into the air, forming a gigantic column that coiled like a dragon ascending into the storm.
"W-what's happening?!" shouted Supreme Kai Shin, shielding his eyes from the blinding light. "Wasn't their fight already over? What is Lin Hao doing now? His ki… it's overwhelming!"
The Old Supreme Kai appeared beside him, eyes wide in disbelief. "I don't understand it either. That kind of energy… could a mortal truly wield power like this? His ki feels divine, yet not like a God of Destruction's or a Super Saiyan God's!"
The ground quaked beneath their feet. Even the air itself seemed to vibrate under the immense pressure of Lin Hao's awakening power.
"Is this really Lin Hao's ki?" Son Gohan muttered, staring up in awe. "It's even greater than when he fought Dad. I can feel the air shattering around him!"
"Damn it…" Vegeta growled through clenched teeth, his fists trembling. "That guy's power, he's not even close to his limit yet!"
"As expected of Uncle Lin Hao…" Gohan continued, his voice half admiration, half fear. "That energy is unbelievable!"
As Lin Hao's ki continued to rise, the tremors rippled far beyond the Sacred World of the Kai. Across countless planets in Universe 7, mountains split, oceans churned, and the skies darkened. It was as if the universe itself was straining beneath the weight of his power.

On Earth.
"Huh?" said Lin Yi, looking up suddenly from his seat in the restaurant. "That's… Dad's aura! But why is it so strong? Is he fighting someone again?"
Sitting across from him, Android 18 calm as always didn't even look up from her plate. "Relax. If your father's releasing that kind of energy, it's not because he's in danger. He's probably just showing off again."
Lin Yi tilted his head, still uneasy. "Are you sure?"
"Completely." 18 took another bite and smiled faintly. "Finish your meal first. We'll go home after this."
"Alright!" Lin Yi nodded, grinning, and returned to eating enthusiastically.
Though the two remained relaxed, the same could not be said for the rest of the universe. Across distant star systems, countless lifeforms felt the tremor of Lin Hao's rising ki. Entire civilizations froze, trembling instinctively as an ancient fear crawled through their souls.
That was not the aura of a mortal. It was something that shook the very order of the Seventh Universe.

Even far away in the Realm of the Gods, ripples of that same energy reached the planet of Beerus, the God of Destruction. The surface of his world trembled lightly, and the tea in Whis's cup quivered.
"Hm?" Whis looked up, eyes narrowing as he sensed the signature. "My, my… so that's Lin Hao's energy. It's already strong enough to disturb the balance of the God Realm."
Across from him, Beerus stirred in his sleep, his tail flicking. The ground began to shake more violently.
"Tch… this isn't good," Whis muttered softly. With a casual wave of his scepter, he erected a shimmering barrier of divine energy around Beerus's planet, sealing away the overwhelming ki. The tremors faded instantly.
Whis took another sip of tea and smiled. "That was close. If Lord Beerus had woken up just now, the entire solar system might not have survived his sneeze."
"What happened in the lower realms has already been reported to the Gods of Destruction. Let me take a look."
Whis raised his staff, and the scepter's orb glowed softly. A shimmering image appeared in mid-air, displaying Lin Hao surrounded by violent golden energy.
"Hm? That's the Sacred World of the Kai," Whis murmured, adjusting the staff to focus. "And that warrior he's a Saiyan? How curious. His power is astonishing."
Even for an Angel, Whis's composure wavered. In his vast experience, only a few Saiyans had ever achieved divine-class strength Goku, Vegeta, and Broly among them. Yet Lin Hao's aura burned with a pressure unlike any of them, a mixture of mortal intensity and divine resonance.
By Whis's measure, Lin Hao's ki output had already reached roughly thirty to forty percent of Lord Beerus's destructive power and it was still rising. At its peak, it could even approach seventy or eighty percent, an unthinkable figure for a mortal.
Whis's eyes narrowed as he watched closely, uncertain if Lin Hao had yet revealed his true limit.
"Ahh!"
A thunderous roar echoed across the Kai Realm. Lin Hao's aura flared one final time before stabilizing. When the light faded, his appearance had completely changed he had taken on the Super Saiyan 4 form.
His wild black hair spilled down to his shoulders, his chest and arms were covered in crimson fur, and a red tail lashed rhythmically behind him. His eyes gleamed gold with primal determination, and his aura shimmered between scarlet and gold, radiating heat waves that distorted space itself.
"Th-that's… Lin Hao?" Goku gasped, stepping forward with wide eyes. Gohan and Vegeta stood frozen beside him, struck speechless.
"This form," Lin Hao said calmly, his voice deeper, resonating with power, "is Super Saiyan Four. It's not my strongest form, but it's more than enough. If I went all out here, the Sacred World of the Kai itself would collapse."
"Super Saiyan Four?" Gohan repeated, stunned. "And that's not even your strongest form?"
"How, how can that be possible?" Vegeta muttered, trembling with disbelief. Even the Supreme Kai and the Old Kai standing nearby were dumbfounded.
"Amazing!" Goku exclaimed, circling Lin Hao in admiration. "So Super Saiyan Three isn't the limit after all! Your energy feels completely different almost primal! How did you do this?"
"Damn it!" Vegeta spat, clenching his fists. "As the Prince of Saiyans, I can only reach Super Saiyan Two, and he's already ascended beyond even Super Saiyan Three! How did he achieve this power!?"
"So cool! Super Saiyan Four, Uncle Lin Hao!" Gohan said, his eyes gleaming with excitement. His own Ultimate state suddenly felt small in comparison.
"Ancestor," said Supreme Kai Shin, glancing at the elder beside him, "didn't you say their Saiyan evolution was limited? Then how?"
"You fool!" barked the Old Kai, smacking Shin's head. "How should I know? In all my eras, Saiyans were never supposed to reach this! Maybe this one's a special case—an anomaly of evolution!"
"Uh…" Shin rubbed his head, speechless. Clearly, he was a Supreme Kai who understood very little of Saiyan biology.
Meanwhile, Goku and Gohan kept poking curiously at Lin Hao's crimson fur until Lin Hao finally slapped their hands away.
"Stop that! Listen carefully," Lin Hao said, frowning. "To reach Super Saiyan Four, you must first push your power to its absolute limit then transform into a Golden Great Ape. Once you gain control over that primal form, condense it into your body, and you'll evolve into this state."
"Super Saiyan Four is the ultimate evolution of Saiyan blood a perfect balance between divine ki and primal instinct. In this form, a Saiyan's strength increases roughly four thousand-fold over their base state."
The air around him pulsed once more, each heartbeat echoing like thunder. Even Whis, observing from the God Realm, smiled faintly.
"Remarkable," he said softly. "A mortal touching the threshold of the gods through instinct alone. Perhaps this Lin Hao truly is… the next step in Saiyan evolution."
