c76: Complete Defeat
After a short period of accumulating energy, Son Goku placed the bright crimson energy sphere at his waist, divine ki swirling around him like a blazing storm. His eyes locked on Lin Hao, who was still gathering his energy, his own aura glowing with deep golden-red light.
"Hey! Lin Hao, are you done yet? I'm not holding back this time!"
"Haha, Goku, you look way too confident! Fine then let it go!"
Lin Hao's tone was calm, yet his aura suddenly spiked, sending shockwaves across the battlefield. The ground beneath his feet cracked apart.
"Tenfold Kamehameha!!"
"Boom!"
The air split open as Lin Hao released a massive red-orange energy beam, laced with golden lightning. The energy wave surged forward like a raging dragon, tearing through the atmosphere.
"Ooooh!"
Goku grinned wildly, divine ki flaring around him as he thrust both hands forward. "Kamehameha!!"
The two devastating beams collided crimson godly energy against golden-primal might. The explosion ripped through the skies, shaking the planet's crust. Mountains crumbled, and even space itself rippled under the immense clash.
"So strong…! But I'm not giving up!"
Goku gritted his teeth and increased his divine ki output, his body glowing brighter. His God Kamehameha pushed Lin Hao's beam back inch by inch.
Feeling the mounting pressure, Lin Hao's calm eyes sharpened. "Not bad, Goku… But you're still far from beating me!"
Golden flames erupted from his body again. His Saiyan 4 aura darkened, mixing with streaks of crimson lightning. His energy surged through his arms into the beam, making the tenfold Kamehameha even thicker and more radiant.
As Lin Hao's strength increased, the clash tipped back in his favor. His energy wave began to push Goku's back toward him.
Seeing this, Goku's expression turned grim. He clenched his jaw and shouted, "You're incredible, Lin Hao! But have you already used your full strength?"
"Full strength?" Lin Hao smirked. "What you're seeing is barely one-tenth of my power. The real battle hasn't even begun."
"One-tenth?!" Goku gasped, cold sweat running down his face. Even with his Super Saiyan God power burning at eighty percent, Lin Hao was overwhelming him effortlessly.
Vegeta, watching from a nearby ridge, clicked his tongue. "Hmph! Now you understand, Kakarot! Lin Hao's power is on another level entirely. You couldn't beat him even with divine ki!"
He frowned deeply. Even as a Super Saiyan Blue, Vegeta had never sensed ki this immense. Lin Hao was a monster who had surpassed both divine and mortal boundaries.
Meanwhile, Goku's arms trembled as he held his beam steady. His aura flickered; his stamina was running low. Lin Hao, on the other hand, looked unbothered — barely exerting effort.
"I thought Super Saiyan God could bridge the gap," Goku muttered. "But this… this is total domination."
Lin Hao's calm smile didn't fade. "Strong? Maybe. But I don't even know how strong I truly am… since no one's ever pushed me to my limits."
"That makes me even more fired up!" Goku yelled, veins standing out on his forehead. "If I can't win half-heartedly, then I'll go all out!"
His divine ki flared violently, his aura swelling several times larger. The crimson flames roared skyward, momentarily overwhelming Lin Hao's beam.
"Impressive, Goku!" Lin Hao said, his voice filled with excitement. "You're actually suppressing my Tenfold Kamehameha but surpassing it won't be easy!"
"Boom!"
Lin Hao's power suddenly spiked. His golden fur shimmered under the energy storm, and the Tenfold Kamehameha exploded in brilliance, expanding to engulf Goku's attack completely.
The shockwave was deafening. The divine Kamehameha was consumed and repelled with terrifying force, the recoil shaking Goku violently.
"This power… it's unbelievable! I can't hold it anymore!" Goku shouted, his arms burning under the backlash.
He immediately used Instant Transmission, vanishing in a flash of light as Lin Hao's gigantic beam tore past him.
The Tenfold Kamehameha shot off the planet's surface, piercing through clouds and continuing into deep space carving a glowing scar across the stars.
"..."
Watching the energy wave fade into the void, Goku exhaled heavily, wiping sweat from his brow. "If that hit me head-on… even my godly body wouldn't have survived that."
Lin Hao descended slowly, his aura flickering down to a gentle glow. "Well, Goku? Still want to keep going?"
Goku raised both hands, smiling sheepishly. "No way! You've got me beat completely. Not just in power, but even in control. My stamina's done for!"
He chuckled weakly. "You win this one, Lin Hao. But next time, I'll definitely catch up to you!"
With that, his red aura faded, reverting him back to his normal state. His breathing slowed; he was too drained to sustain his god form any longer.
Lin Hao stretched and yawned. "Alright, let's call it a day. After fighting this long, I'm starving. If you two hadn't shown up, I'd already be napping with a full stomach."
"Grrr…"
At the mention of food, Goku's stomach growled loudly. He scratched his head and laughed. "Hehe, yeah, me too! Let's head back and eat!"

Meanwhile, in the Seventh Universe's God Realm, Whis and Beerus were sparring atop the divine arena.
"Lord Beerus," Whis sighed, sidestepping a strike, "we've been at this all day. How about taking a break for lunch?"
Since returning from his defeat against Lin Hao, Beerus had done nothing but train — no long naps, no gourmet meals. His usual laziness was gone, replaced by silent frustration.
Beerus stopped, panting slightly, his golden eyes narrowing. "Tch. I still can't believe that mortal beat me so easily. Lin Hao… what is he?"
Whis smiled faintly. "A warrior who's surpassed the limits of gods themselves, it seems. Perhaps, Lord Beerus… he's the one thing even you can't destroy."
Beerus' tail flicked irritably as he floated into the air. "Hmph. Then I'll just have to get stronger."
For once, the God of Destruction wasn't thinking about food only power.
And somewhere in the cosmos, Lin Hao's battle aura still echoed faintly… a reminder that the era of divine dominance was beginning to change.
