The Shaohua Pavilion at the easternmost side of the Bai family's mansion serves as the courtyard of Miss Bai, Bai Lili, and it exudes unparalleled splendor.
The small corridor within the courtyard features intricately carved rails, painted beams, and ornamental screens and curtains.
However, at the moment, Miss Bai is not at Shaohua Pavilion, as she has relocated elsewhere to escape the summer heat.
Through a gate in the eastern flower wall of Shaohua Pavilion, one suddenly encounters a lake spanning a vast three acres, with a small building faintly visible on the island at the heart of the lake.
In front of the building, there is a stretch of Yang Liu trees. To the northeast, a white stone bridge and white stone railings lead directly to Lotus Listening Pavilion, a place for enjoying lotuses in the rain.
The lake also features interconnected corridors named Nine Bends Corridor.
