He then naturally wrapped his arms around her waist, leaned back, and in a posture of encircling her, leaned against the edge of the dressing table.
Warm orange light from outside the window spilled into the room, warming their faces in a fuzzy glow. The old air conditioner emitted a buzzing electric sound. He looked at her with deep eyes, not saying a word, just staring at her, making her feel flustered and shy. It was as if she were suspended in mid-air with nothing to hold on to except him.
In such silence, one could hear a pin drop, so when he slowly let out a breath, she could hear the note of exasperation in it.
