At first, Maeve deliberately lingered in the studio till midnight every day to discourage him. However, since Gage could freely come and go, he was completely unaffected by her schedule. Whenever she returned past midnight, she would find him sleeping soundly on the bed; then every morning, he'd startle her awake just three hours into her sleep, breaking her original full night's rest into two segments.
Over time, Maeve couldn't take it anymore. She tried to make him leave, but he pretended not to hear and continued doing as he pleased. With no other option, Maeve adjusted her work hours, trying to return home by nine every evening, aligning with Gage's schedule, just to preserve her own sleep.
