Gage stopped talking, silently exited the WeChat page, and put his phone in his pocket.
Maeve's gaze was still following Chloe Zimmerman, her face sporting a faint, teasing smile. The longer Gage looked, the more uneasy he felt. He walked up to the cashier and snapped his fingers at her, "You keep staring at that girl so openly, you'll scare her. People might think you're that kind of oriented."
Maeve snapped back to reality, looked up at Gage, and chuckled softly, asking, "What's wrong with that kind of orientation? Is it illegal?"
