The sudden dog bark scared Lin Xijiang quite a bit.
His body shook fiercely as he quickly turned around and found it was a small yellow dog baring its teeth and barking wildly at him. It was incredibly arrogant, just like the man standing behind it.
The man had a mischievous smirk, bold and brazen.
"Chi Yu! Why did you bring a dog to scare people? What if it bites?" Lin Xijiang, still startled, felt his heart racing and his face turning pale.
Chi Yu stood there, coolly curling his lips, "I don't even know this mutt."
Lin Xijiang was stunned. The day before, when they went to the village chief's house, Chi Yu ran off with the yellow dog. Seeing the dog now, he naturally didn't recognize it, thinking he mistakenly blamed Chi Yu, and was about to apologize.
Then he saw the little yellow dog circling around Chi Yu wagging its tail, then sitting down beside Chi Yu's pants leg, sticking out its tongue with a begging-for-compliment look, as if it had accomplished something great.
