"Damn it, I can't move. The last notification I received warned me that I had reached my body's absolute limit. Did I... die again?"
"Do not fret, you have not died—yet."
"That voice... I remember. You are the one who sent me here, aren't you?"
"Yes, I initiated your reincarnation. But that is not the matter at hand for the moment."
"I have a distinct feeling that you are about to cause me serious trouble."
"I am doing you a favor, mortal. Your current rate of development is painfully slow; utilizing even the slightest fraction of your power results in immediate, severe injury and loss of consciousness, and the reason for this failure is simple: your current body is abysmally frail, and you lack the capacity to properly control the mana."
"What exactly are you instructing me to do, then?"
"I am going to send you to someone who will teach you how to properly develop your mana and your physique, but before that, I need to tell you what happened a thousand years ago. Firstly, as you know, a group of heroes, including you, were sent to this world. There was one hero for each race, and your single objective was to end the wars and conflicts between the races. However, by the time you were sent, the races had been divided into two camps: the Invaders, consisting of Vampires and Demons, and the Resistance, formed by Humans, Elves, and Dwarves. During the period you were sent, the Invader faction was superior in every regard, but the Demon and Vampire heroes attempted to stop their own races and eventually managed to cause the Vampires to defect. This defection led to the Invader faction losing sixty percent of its power and the Demons suffering a massive defeat. Although the Demon hero tried to warn the Demons, he failed, and the Demons incurred a heavy loss. When the war concluded, the Vampires dragged the Demons along with them to the Xylas continent. Subsequently, two of the five heroes, the Vampire and Demon heroes, wove a barrier that kept them inside the Xylas continent and completely sealed off entry and exit. Ultimately, although heavy losses were sustained, the invasion was halted, and four kingdoms remained on Aetheria: the Elven Kingdom of Layrian, the Dwarven Kingdom of Valenor, and the Human Kingdoms of Kaeltha and Aethelgard. Kaeltha and Valenor were governed by their respective racial heroes and their families, while the other two kingdoms continued to be ruled by the royal families predating the invasion. Of course, the Kaeltha hero split Aethelgard in two, turning West Aethelgard into Kaeltha. Although Aethelgard lost a significant amount of power, it remained the strongest nation in the Capital region, while the Lyrian royalty, due to friction between the royal and hero families, lost power and retreated deep into the desolate northern forests, minimizing their contact with the outside world. Meanwhile, the two heroes sealed on the Xylas continent married, uniting the Demons and Vampires loyal to them to establish a kingdom, and drove those who refused to obey into the barren, unproductive, and dangerous lands in the south of the Xylas continent."
"I understand, but now I have two critical questions for you. The first is where you intend to send me, and the second is which race I was originally sent to, considering I am the sixth hero."
"The answer to your first question is the last surviving hero: Vampire Queen Cassia Morwen—you will be sent to her. Regarding your other question, the only answer I can provide is that your race did not require a hero, which caused the Gods to fall into a dispute and leave you drifting in the void."
"So, I will be immediately teleported to Cassia Morwen, then? Contrary to my initial thoughts, this didn't turn out to be a huge disaster."
"No. Before that, you will be sent to another location on the Xylas continent where you can properly reinforce your physique. Your current body is nothing but trash."
"Just as the Entity concluded its final words, a brilliant, searing light instantly blinded Kael's eyes, only to be succeeded moments later by an absolute, pitch-black darkness."
