Chapter 135
Pairing: Natsu x Juvia
Summary: Realising that her attempts to attract the attention of a certain ice mage are getting her nowhere, Juvia decides to try something new. She decides to enlist the aid of the person who spends the most amount of time with Gray, barring herself, who reluctantly decides to help after some persuasion. However, things don't go as planned and after a drunken night their relationship is forever changed.
"Oh, Gray-sama, what must Juvia do to get your attention." Juvia sighed as she watched the apple of her eye fight his rival. Juvia was currently hidden behind a pillar, stalking the dark haired man as always. She was confused as to how she couldn't get the man's attention. The blue haired woman had tried changing her clothing, hair style and she had even stopped talking in the third person. Unfortunately, none of them managed to had impacted or had even been noticed by the ice-make mage. Even trying to make the man jealous with Lyon had proved ineffective. While Gray had given her attention, it only lasted as long as the ice make mage was around. The bluenette let out another sigh and sat against the pillar.
The woman stayed there and wallowed in her self-pity before she went back to looking over to the ice mage. Unfortunately, she didn't feel better from looking at the raven haired man and she couldn't even figure out a new plan. This made the water mage worry, she had been on a bit of dry spell lately and it was only making her feel worse. Juvia continued to watch the men brawl, hoping that she would think of something, and to her surprise, she did when her eyes landed on Gray's combatant. While Juvia hadn't spent too much time with the Dragon Slayer, she knew that he and Gray were two of the closest in the guild, no matter how much they'd deny it.
The blue haired beauty couldn't believe she hadn't thought of it before. 'Natsu-san knows the most about Gray-sama, so if I get close to him, I'll be able to learn more about Gray-sama.' Juvia thought, her gloomy mood instantly disappearing. However, she needed to make sure that she could get some time alone with the pinkette. She knew that it would be a little hard since the Dragon Slayer always seemed to be interacting with someone. If he wasn't fighting Gray or any of their guildmates, he'd be talking to his team or the lovely white haired barmaid. Luckily, Juvia had the patience of a saint and she was more than willing to wait if it meant she'd get close to a certain ice mage.
~Outside Fairy Tail~
So Juvia started watching the pink haired man for a week, which was much longer than she was hoping. This was mainly because the Dragon Slayer was a lot harder for Juvia. Not only was he more observant, his enhanced sense of smell was one of the largest hurdles she had to overcome over the week. She was nearly caught on several occasions, but luck had been on her side she had managed to avoid detection. "According to Juvia's note, Natsu-san should be emerging from the cellar with Mira-san and leaving the guild." Juvia muttered as she looked down at her book of extensive notes about the fire mage. Just as she had said, the pinkette left the guild moments later. She quickly followed Natsu out the guild and into the streets of Magnolia.
Juvia was astounded that a person like Natsu had something that resembled a routine. Knowing this had made stalking the pinkette a lot easier for her. However, today was a little different as he took a completely different route today. This obviously caught the woman off guard and she had to follow the man much closer. If she hadn't been so focused on following the man, she would have noticed that she was being led. She soon found herself in the forest leading to the Dragon Slayer's house, but she could no longer see her target. "Where is Natsu-san?" Juvia wondered.
"Right here." Natsu said as he made his presence known, making the woman let out a small squeal and stumble back and land on her ass. Juvia looked up at the pink haired man, who was looking down at her. A massive blush formed on the beauty's face as her embarrassment overpower her. As the Dragon Slayer stared at her, her pale skin only got redder. "Why have you been following me?" He spoke.
"How long has Natsu-san known?" Juvia asked as stood up. She began to wonder what she'd done wrong, the bluenette had even asked Gajeel for advice. The water mage desperately needed to know what she had done wrong and that was painfully obvious to the Dragon Slayer thanks to the intense glare he was getting. Feeling a little awkward about the situation, Natsu decided it was best to tell the woman the truth.
"Mira told me a couple of days ago, I didn't believe her at first." Natsu replied, making the woman let out a relieved sigh. Natsu was pretty sure that Juvia was more relieved that her stalking skills weren't in question rather than being caught. "You still haven't told me what you're following me around, I thought you had a thing for Gray?" He asked, sounding very confused. He wasn't very well versed in how the fairer sex thought, especially odd ones like Juvia.
"Juvia was attempting to get your assistance for something." Juvia replied, further confusing the Dragon Slayer. Juvia was one of the few people Natsu didn't know that well, which was both their faults. The water mage was too busy with obsessing over his rival, which was a heavy enough deterrent for the pinkette.
"Why didn't you just ask me? Ya really didn't need to follow me around if you wanted a favour." Natsu said, sounding a little annoyed. Contrary to popular belief, he did like his privacy and there was no telling what she could have found out. The pinkette quickly shook his head and focused on the woman in front of her. "So what's the favour?"
"Juvia needs Natsu-san to help her get closer to Gray-sama." Juvia replied with a delighted look on her face. The look on her face made it fairly obvious that he didn't have much of a choice in the matter, but he really didn't like the idea of finding out more about the ice mage. In his mind, he already knew too much about the raven haired man.
"That sounds like the opposite of fun, no." Natsu denied. Unfortunately, this was the wrong answer, which was made obvious by Juvia didn't seem fazed whatsoever. The water mage stood there for a couple of moments before she pulled out a notebook. Once the book was in her hand, a sly smile appeared on her face. "What's that?" He asked.
"It's just a notebook with everything Juvia found out Natsu-san over this week... Including Natsu-san's rather special relationship with-" Juva explained, cutting herself off when she saw the expression on the pinkette's face. She had never seen the Dragon Slayer get so flustered before, she was pretty sure that the man didn't understand the concept of shame. She began to giggle a little, which only made the fire mage more embarrassed. "Natsu-san must really want to keep this a secret, so Juvia suggests that he help her out."
"I don't really have much of a choice, just don't tell anyone." Natsu said while gritting his teeth. Juvia didn't seem to care about the reaction, she was just happy that she was getting what she wanted. "Let's get this over with, I don't want Gray to get any ideas." The pinkette added, annoying the blue haired woman. However, she maintained her composure, she needed the Dragon Slayer's help.
"Juvia will meet Natsu-san tomorrow for breakfast, Juvia knows that Natsu-san can't work on an empty stomach." Juvia said before started to make her leave. Natsu stood there, unsure what to think. He knew that the woman was determined to get closer to Gray, but he never thought she'd go as far as she did. He just hoped that he could get this over quickly.
~Three weeks later~
Natsu and Juvia were currently seated at what had become their table over the past few weeks. Despite being very unsuccessful in their quest, Juvia didn't seem disheartened. The pinkette wasn't sure if he was impressed or if he felt sorry for the woman. He had seen the woman take almost every approach over the two weeks but she had got the same dismissive reaction. Natsu found himself disliking his rival even more as a result. It wasn't all bad though, Juvia turned out to be a lot more fun than he expected. "We're not getting anywhere Juvia and you've tried everything." Natsu sighed.
"Maybe it's Juvia, does Natsu-san think Juvia is weird?" Juvia inquired. Though she had been hanging out with the fire mage for less than a month, she had grown rather close to him. The beauty could now understand how people were able to put their trust in the pinkette, despite his immaturity.
"Yeah, you are pretty weird." Natsu replied. From the straight look on his face, she could tell that the man wasn't kidding around. While she was glad her friend was being honest with her, she felt a little crushed at the comment and she slumped her head onto the table. "It's not like its a bad thing, it makes you fun to hang around." The Dragon Slayer added, brightening the young woman's mood.
Wanting to thank the man for cheering her up, she looked up, only to notice that he was looking off somewhere else. Juvia didn't interrupt the fire mage and decided to let him do as he pleased. As she watched the pinkette, stare off at another woman, she found herself getting jealous. Unable to handle the feeling, her magic started to flare up and a small rain cloud started pouring on her.
"Hey, is everything ok Juvia?" Natsu asked, snapping her out of her mood. "You've been doing that a lot lately." He added. The concern in her friend's voice was enough to make the rain woman blush and cloud was gone almost as quickly as it had come. Happy that his guildmate was in a better mood and still blissfully unaware that he was the cause of her bad mood, he stood up. "I'm gonna go get something to eat, need anything?"
"Juvia will be fine." Juvia replied as she watched the man walk off. Once the man was at the bar, she let out a small sigh and slumped onto the table. Juvia felt a little torn recently, she had enjoyed her time with the Dragon Slayer, so much so that she hadn't been able to truly focus on her task even though she had greater insight to what the ice mage wanted. Juvia wasn't really sure what was going on anymore. She was sure that she was in love with Gray, but she was still unable to define what she felt for Natsu. The feeling was strong and she had tried to compare it to her sibling-like relationship she had with Gajeel, but Juvia knew that wasn't the case. Unlike with the Iron Dragon Slayer, the water mage found herself getting jealous whenever she saw Natsu even speaking to another woman. 'Juvia shouldn't be feeling this way, she's supposed to love Gray-sama.' She told herself, trying to shake thoughts of the man out of her.
While Juvia was struggling with herself, Natsu found himself dealing with his own issues. "I don't get it, everything was great, but now things are getting weird with Juvia." Natsu huffed as he looked back at the gloomy rain woman. Mirajane let out a small giggle at this and leant over the bar. A small blush appeared on the fire mage's face when he was treated to the she-demon's cleavage. He quickly calmed himself down and his blush was gone as quick as it had come.
"My charms must be wearing off, that used to get you worked up enough to grab me and take me behind the guild." Mirajane said, her voice remaining sweet despite the lewd subject matter. This was enough to get the oldest Strauss the reaction she wanted. However, her attention didn't remain on the flustered fire mage for long as she noticed the storm cloud above Juvia's head. "Now that I think about it, I think it's best that we hold off today, making sure that Magnolia doesn't get flooded is more important than my libido." The woman said.
"Geez, thanks for being such a great help." Natsu commented, annoyed that the wisdom filled woman couldn't help him. However, he wasn't sure why expected to get any help from the barmaid. They had a fairly odd relationship, so Natsu was never sure when he was going to get an amazing piece of advice or if she was going to tease and taunt him. It was obvious that he wasn't getting any help from the woman, so decided to try one more thing. "Please Mira, what am I supposed to do, I like hanging out Juvia, but I don't want things to be weird." He said, hoping to get something from the woman. Unfortunately, she was the opposite of helpful.
"I never thought I'd see the day where the dense Natsu Dragneel would find love, and with his rival's potential love interest... How scandalous." Mirajane swooned in a mocking tone. Natsu stormed away from the bar with a massive blush on his face. He was unsure whether or not what Mirajane had said was true, all he knew that staying around barmaid was bad for his mental health. "All you have to do is be honest." She cheered.
"Sorry for the holdup, Mira was just being... Mira." Natsu said as he sat down. The rain cloud over the woman slowly shifted from a heavy dark one into light white one. The fire mage liked this about the water mage, much like himself, Juvia had a hard time hiding her feelings. "So what's the plan today?" The fire mage asked. He wasn't sure if he'd able to deny what the barmaid had said. Maybe he did want to be closer to Juvia, but he wasn't sure how he'd do that considering their current situation.
"Juvia thinks we should take a day off from this, following his rival can't be fun for Natsu-san... Juvia would be a bad friend if she made him do this for much longer." Juvia said, surprising the fire mage. It was a welcome surprise and the idea of spending a day with Juvia sounded great to him. "So, what does Natsu-san want to do?" She offered. There were so many things that pinkette wanted to do with the woman that he needed a couple of seconds to think.
"Why don't we just see how the day goes." Natsu said with the smile. This made the woman also smile. Juvia didn't really care what they were going to do, she was just glad to be spending more time with the Dragon Slayer.
~Later~
Just as Natsu had said, the two had just gone with the flow and they had really enjoyed each other. Since they'd grown close, the mages knew exactly the other wanted, so they did a mix of both. The two were seated at a booth in one of Cana's favorite bars. The two had been there long enough to start working up a bit of a buzz. "Hanging out with you is way more fun when we don't have to follow Gray around." Natsu said with a big toothy grin.
"Juvia agrees, sometimes all that stalking can get exhausting." Juvia replied with a cute giggle. Natsu would have never imagined himself in this situation a few weeks ago. He doubted he'd get this reaction if hadn't spent so much time with the woman, he was pretty sure he'd get scolded by the rain woman.
"So you've finally admitted you were stalking the stripper." Natsu blurted out. It was clear to Natsu that the alcohol was starting to take its effect on Juvia. Despite how great as she was at it, Juvia would always deny that she was a stalker. Natsu wasn't sure if she was in denial or if she was just messing with him, but he didn't mind either way because her excuses always got him to laugh.
"Natsu-kun~...Juvia isn't going to admit she's a stalker, it's incriminating and Juvia doesn't want to talk about him anymore." Juvia whined. The man's smile only got bigger at this. He wasn't sure why, but hearing that from the water mage made him happy. "Juvia is already undesirable enough, and being called a stalker makes her even worse." She added as a cloud began to form. Natsu found himself being angry at Gray and feeling sorry for Juvia. He made a mental note to punch the raven haired man tomorrow before he went to comfort the water mage.
"You know that's not true, what about all those guys who've hit on you here? I'm sure they didn't find you undesirable." Natsu asked. While he could understand why so many guys had approached her, he still found it rather annoying that they were cutting into his time with Juvia. However, it did make him happy at how coldly and quickly she had rejected them.
"Natsu-kun, getting the attention of a bunch of horny drunks does not make Juvia happy." Juvia replied with, still looking a little down. So Natsu decided to ask what kind of man she wanted. The fire mage had a pretty good idea of what she'd say and as much as he disliked it, he knew it'd make his friend happy. The rain woman thought for a few seconds before she drunk the contents of her mug, a drunken blush appearing on her face. "Natsu-kun, Juvia doesn't know what she wants anymore... Spending time with Natsu-kun has confused Juvia, she thought she wanted someone cool and calm, but lately, she's been yearning for someone who's warm and passionate." She said, moving closer to the pinkette and resting her body against the man. Juvia mewled when she felt the heat emanating from the Dragon Slayer and snuggled against the man more. The woman already had a very strong personality and the alcohol only seemed to bolster it. "Natsu-kun, that's enough questions for me, what kind of women interest you?"
It was now Natsu's turn to down his drink. The fearless man knew he needed a little extra courage before he proceeded any further with the woman. "I like the strong and sexy kind." Natsu declared. As he expected, the woman wasn't happy with his declaration. The water mage pouted and decided to make a bold move. "Juvia?" The fire mage asked as he felt the cool hands of the mage turn his face towards her.
"Shut up Natsu-kun, you're such a coward." Juvia said before bringing the pinkette into a kiss. Much to her surprise and delight, Natsu didn't try to stop her and the two shared a short kiss. Though it was very short, both of them enjoyed the feeling of the other. Natsu loved the cool feeling of the woman's lips while Juvia loved the warmth only a fire mage could provide. Once they had taken in their feelings, the two stared at each other for a couple of seconds. Juvia wasn't sure if it was the kiss or the silence, but her heart was beating frantically and that she desperately wanted the man in front of her. "Juvia is going to take what she wants this time, and a nothing is stopping her this time." She told the man.
Being drunk made the fire mage even slower than normal and he stood there a little confused. Seeing this, Juvia made her move, she mounted the pinkette, making sure to face the slightly flustered man. Despite the fact she was very well clothed, the woman was undeniably sexy. Her coat could barely hide the fact she was stacked or that she a very desirable hourglass figure. His eyes moved down to the feature Juvia's outfit failed to hide, her lovely thick thighs. The effects of the drinks had become painfully obvious as the fire mage ranted about doing nothing wrong before he switched the topic to all the things he'd do to blue-haired maiden. While Juvia loved hearing them, she was also extremely embarrassed by it and the bar owner was livid.
So it was unsurprising that they both found themselves in the cold moonlight streets moments later. "This is a family establishment, I better not see your guild back here again." The gruff man yelled as he stormed back into the bar. Natsu barked back at the man, only to have the bluenette attempt to calm him down. Unfortunately, she failed and the fire mage continued to drunkenly rant until he passed out.
The passed out pinkette left the water mage with a bit of a dilemma. Not only was she unsure what do with the limp body, she couldn't get past that feeling that she had taken advantage of the man. "Maybe it was just the lust and alcohol talking... Juvia may have ruined things with Natsu-kun." Juvia thought aloud. She sure didn't regret what had happened, but she wasn't sure what the pinkette thought. Juva let out a heavy sigh and decided the best course of action was to bring the man to somewhere safe. 'Juvia hopes this isn't a mistake.' She told herself as she struggled to pick the man up.
~Next morning~
Natsu woke in an unfamiliar place, with a pounding headache. The pinkette groaned at the realization that he was suffering the effects of a hangover. Natsu looked around the largely blank room and he found himself mostly confused. This was only until he picked up a very pleasant and familiar smell. The smell was so pleasant to the Dragon Slayer that his pain started to fade. The rain had become one of the Dragon Slayer's favorite non-food scents over his time with a water mage. Thoughts of the rain woman entered the fire mage's head. However, he barely got time with his thoughts before his head would start to hurt again and he was reminded of last night. "Juvia." Natsu muttered as he rolled over, landing on something soft and warm. Following his base instincts, he moved closer to the soft fleshy orb and groped at it.
Due to the fact he was still sleepy, he just smiled and continued to feel at the mass of warmth and softness. As his hands got busy, the fire mage began to mutter and moan the name of the rain woman he had grown very fond of. The Dragon Slayer continue to do this, still completely unaware that he was groping Juvia, whose pale skin had turned a bright red. Juvia wasn't eternally sure how to react to this. It was her first time waking up next to a man and she had never been aggressively felt up before. The beauty could tell that the drowsy pinkette was enjoying himself, but it did end up being too much for Juvia and she decided to speak up about it. "Natsu-san, could you please stop touching Juvia like that." Juvia requested.
Hearing the woman's voice made Natsu come to his scenes. The pinkette opened his eyes to see a very flustered water mage. At first, all he could do was stare at the beauty, but it didn't take long for his instincts to kick in and he moved on top of the woman. "Good morning Juvia, so are you going to tell me where we are?" Natsu asked, looking down at the flustered woman. This was yet another first for Juvia, and from the look on his face, this trend was going to continue, not that she minded in the least.
"We're in my room, Natsu-san." Juvia replied, doing her best to remain focused. She was always aware of the Dragon Slayer's amazing physique, but since he didn't have a habit of stripping, she hadn't been able to see until today. Juvia didn't get to admire the fire mage for long, as he spoke up and questioned why he was there and why he was naked. "Natsu-san and Juvia drunk too much last night Juvia brought you to Juvia's room since it was closer... Then Natsu got naked before inviting Juvia into her own bed, with the condition she slept naked with him." The woman explained with a furious blush on her face.
Natsu smiled at this and decided to tease the woman a little. "You know, my memory is a little hazy at the moment, can you remind me why we were kicked out?" Natsu asked with a grin on face. He was happy to wait as long as he had to, he could stare a the woman forever. Juvia knew this and wondered to do, she quite liked the hungry look in the fire mage's eyes, but she was still confused as to where their relationship stood.
"Natsu and Juvia were being inappropriate in the bar." Juvia confessed, looking away from the man. The events of last night began to play in her mind and her blush only got deeper.
"Come on Juvia, that's not gonna help, I need you to tell me what I did to you." Natsu replied as one of his hands started to get busy. He began to run it along Juvia's shapely thighs and up to her well-sculpted ass. At this point, the Dragon Slayer was sure that the water mage's booty had well and truly made him an ass man. Juvia let out a relieved sigh, she should have expected this. She had forgotten how childish the fire mage could get. Just as she went to speak, the Dragon Slayer interrupted. "Maybe I haven't earned it yet, how about you let me." The fire mage said as his hand began to move his new lover's core. Wanting to see how good the pinkette was, Juvia decided to go with it.
"Juvia wants to make sure her first lover is satisfactory." Juvia said, Seeing the challenge in front of him, Natsu's hand moved to Juvia's weeping womanhood.
