"The recent affairs at home have been quite tumultuous. I know some of my actions might have provoked your dislike..."
Yolanda Sawyer sighed, her dried-up fingers curling and then spreading weakly.
"Maya, do you also think I've become senile? That's why I've always tolerated Tristan Rowe and even allowed him to ruin the Rowe Family's legacy..."
Maya Monroe's response was quite neutral: "You must have your reasons for doing so."
Yolanda chuckled softly and patted Maya's hand. She had indeed posed a very difficult question to Maya, and Maya had refrained from expressing any subjective opinion, making her reply all the more cautious and appropriate.
"When I was younger, I had too many concerns. Now that I've grown old, I realize that what's most important is having a harmonious, full family. I'm trying to make amends, only to discover that eventually, it leads to nowhere good."
