Escape always seems intertwined with being in distress, and on the way back, the sky suddenly poured down heavy rain, drenching both of them completely.
Feeling the shiver of the person behind, Zane Thorne quickened the pace again. When the car pulled up close to the villa, the man immediately turned to look at Natalie Vaughn.
"Are you still okay?"
Natalie was too cold to speak; the rain was too icy, too chilling, she felt like she was in an ice cellar.
Zane Thorne, with his long legs, quickly parked the car, got out, and carried Natalie down without a moment's delay, taking her straight to the bathroom.
"The water temperature shouldn't be too high, just warm up your body for now, okay?"
Natalie nodded.
The man did have a fiery temperament, but Zane Thorne was lightly dressed, having shielded her from the wind and rain ahead, and now his chest was chilly too.
Natalie shivered.
"You should take a shower quickly too."
