After about twenty minutes, the once lush osmanthus tree turned into a bald brain. If Zero hadn't known that the bigger the tree, the more it needs to be pruned to survive, Zero would have said something.
"Zero, we've pruned it, we can plant the tree now."
Gazing at the shifty-eyed landscaping supervisor, who didn't look like a good person, Zero silently pulled out the employee badge that hadn't been used in a while.
"Didn't you read the announcement? Don't you know I'm the chief manager?"
The landscaping supervisor was stunned for a moment, then quickly changed his tune: "Chief Manager, we've pruned the osmanthus tree. Please go ahead and use the excavator to plant it."
"That's more like it." Zero nodded in satisfaction and climbed into the excavator's cab.
Behind him, the landscaping supervisor wiped the sweat off his forehead, unsure if it was from the hard work or the cold sweat from being scared earlier.
