Red dandelions landed on the ground, followed by the woman's body. She stared wide-eyed at the sky, tears already overflowing from the corners of her eyes, her sparkling eyes filled with intense reluctance...
Her breath ceased.
This scene was simply perfect, and though it lasted no more than a minute, it was captivating and inescapable.
Melody Thorne's part was finished. What's left was for her to lie there motionless, waiting for someone to "deal with" her "corpse."
"Did she just die like that?" Someone in the audience suddenly realized but found themselves deeply engrossed in the plot, tears streaming down their face.
"What a pity, the Emperor is heartless."
"How could the script be so harsh?"
