"Woosh," she quickly retracted her hand, but without support, her forehead hit the ground.
"Melody Thorne," under her was Jared Quinn's extremely cold voice.
Melody didn't think much, she just slid down, covering her forehead, and headed upstairs. She knew if she explained that she hadn't meant to knock him over, no one would believe her!!!
Jared's forehead twitched without relief, and he got up to follow her upstairs.
After getting into her pajamas, Melody remembered she hadn't memorized her lines. She looked over at the man lying on the big bed in the bedroom, emitting a chilling aura, and decisively shrank onto the sofa to look at the few thin pages of the script.
