Caleb's gaze shifted away from the red wine in his hand, lifting coolly to meet Luna Lancaster's eyes. Though his gaze was calm and unassuming, it made Luna's heart tremble with fear, as if she were being threatened with a dagger at her throat.
But he was clearly just a fool before, and now even a frail person; how could he possibly do anything to her?
Luna thought, lifting her chin to return his gaze.
"Did I ever say I would save her?" Caleb sneered, casually swirling the crimson liquid in his glass.
"You said that if she helped you with your tasks, you would definitely save her. She's been locked up by Jared right now, and you're acting as if it doesn't concern you at all. My sister must have been blinded to cooperate with you..." Luna's emotions were a bit agitated.
The Lancaster Family didn't know what happened; all their business partners stopped collaborating with them, leaving the family in ruins. Now, with Sheryl Lancaster caught, Luna was the only one left.
