"Take her away," Yulia O'Connell pointed toward the front gate, "No need to pay her, deduct it all."

Yulia O'Connell suddenly blacked out and nearly fainted, but a pair of large hands supported her in time and carried her upstairs. "Go rest for a while," he said.
Yulia didn't move, allowing him to carry her, while her mind and ears seemed to be lingering on what Cole O'Connell had just said.
She used to hate Cole O'Connell, but then Nathan Knight appeared. He wasn't dead, yet she hated Cole for so long. Was he a fool?
If he hadn't killed Nathan back then, would he have told her? Perhaps she wouldn't have hated him so much.
Cole O'Connell looked down just in time to meet the gaze of the little woman in his arms staring at him in a daze, his amber eyes deepening.
