The reply came quickly.

Melody Thorne tossed the phone aside, staring idly at the computer. Online discussions about her leaving the entertainment industry were mounting.
An hour and a half later, Jared Quinn wrapped up his meeting early and instructed Simon Sutton to bring her evening gown. "Change into this, we'll head to the banquet directly."
Melody Thorne sat still, arms crossed, watching him. "I'm afraid if I dress too beautifully, many people at the banquet will stare at me, and you'll get jealous!"
"Is that so?" Jared Quinn withdrew his hand, agreeing, "Well, maybe you shouldn't wear it then. What you have on looks quite good."
Melody Thorne said, "...Give it to me."
She leapt forward to grab the dress, preparing to change into it. Jared Quinn was being too annoying!
"Now you plan to wear it after all? Aren't you afraid I'll get jealous?"
