The dorm manager let out a cold laugh, staring at Josh's figure, standing still, with hair suddenly teeming with life, rapidly growing and sprawling on the ground, crawling towards Josh faster than a monster.
Josh leaped to dodge.
As soon as she landed, the dorm manager's hair had transformed into a thick whip, lashing towards her.
The floor beneath Josh's feet exploded, and she was vaulted out, sliding and tumbling under the statue.
Clutching her aching arm and leg, she crawled up to the statue, clinging to the God's hem: "Your Holiness the Pope, I am your most devoted follower, please save me! If you save me, I am willing to serve you for life, giving you my body, mind, and even my soul!"
No sooner had she finished speaking than the statue erupted with a dazzling white light, illuminating the entire academy.
