Why?" he pressed, his gaze sharpening. "Why don't you want to see mine? Theodore showed you his...so why not see mine too?"
"I said I don't want to."
Something in him snapped, subtle but sharp.
His grip shifted from her wrist to her waist, fingers digging in harder than he meant to.
Athena hissed in pain. "Eryx stop. You're hurting me."
Eryx froze instantly. And he released her immediately.
His eyes widened slightly. He hadn't meant to hurt her...He would rather die than hurt her. He didn't know why he's so consumed by jealousy...he can't even control it, anytime it hit him. It felt like he was going crazy, when he saw her with Theo laughing, smiling as the snow fell on her face. He couldn't control his anger.
"I'm… sorry... I'm really sorry," he said quickly.
He stepped back, once… twice… and then turned around. He didn't bother going inside, just walked toward the darker part of the garden,and disappearing between the tall hedges without another word, without looking back.
