Chapter 149 - Chapter 149

Looking at the huge black sphere floating ominously in the air before him, Tsuchimikado Arima's sharp eyes gleamed behind his glasses.

A faint smile slowly appeared on his lips.

No one could tell what he was thinking.

The enormous sphere hovered silently in the sky, radiating a terrifying aura that distorted the surrounding air. The spiritual pressure it emitted was dense and heavy, pressing down on the environment like an invisible mountain.

Even the surrounding exorcist standing nearby could feel cold sweat forming on their backs.

"Master Arima…" Tsuchimikado Mikage's voice came cautiously from beside him. "This should be the Domain Expansion that Master Tatara mentioned earlier."

His eyes remained fixed on the floating black sphere, filled with unease.

"But Gojo-sama and Miss Benio Adashino seem to be trapped inside…"

Arima did not reply immediately.

Of course he knew.

He didn't even need Mikage to say it.

His sharp gaze continued analyzing the black sphere in front of him, observing every fluctuation of spiritual energy radiating from it.

Domain Expansion…

A technique said to be able to create an unique territory of the user.

A forbidden territory where the user's power was maximized to its absolute peak.

But even so, Arima showed no sign of worry.

Not even the slightest.

Because the one trapped inside…was Gojo Satoru.

"He'll break it." Arima murmured quietly to himself. "Not only break it…He'll crush it."

His lips curled slightly upward. "He might even expand his own Domain."

Arima thought to their conversation, and the similarity of their energy and feeling that he get from it...

"What a terrifying power…" A female voice suddenly sounded from a distance.

The voice was calm, soft, and strangely pleasant to hear.

Yet the moment Arima heard it—

His body stiffened.

His pupils narrowed slightly.

That voice…

He recognized it instantly. Turning his head slowly, the first thing that entered his vision was—Orange braided hair.

Standing there casually, as if she had simply taken a leisurely stroll into the battlefield, was a woman with golden eyes that shimmered faintly in the light.

Makima!

"Hello, Miss Makima." Tsuchimikado Mikage bowed politely without hesitation.

He didn't seem to have notice the subtle tension radiating from Arima's body.

Makima nodded lightly in response.

Her golden-ringed pupils shifted gently… landing directly on Tsuchimikado Arima, who remained standing rigidly in place.

She tilted her head slightly with a bland expression.

"What does that expression mean…?" She asked gently. "Tsuchimikado-sama."

Her voice remained polite. But beneath that politeness…

There was something oppressive.

Something unnatural.

Arima pushed his glasses upward with one finger.

"No… nothing."

His tone was cold. Flat.

He clearly had no intention of continuing the conversation.

Not because of political tension between organizations…or because of duty…

But because—Instinct.

A deep instinct within him told him to stay away from this woman!

Far away.

Makima shrugged slightly, as if she didn't care about his reaction at all.

She turned her gaze back toward the floating black sphere.

Her golden eyes reflected the shifting darkness of the Domain.

Before the Domain had formed…

She had already taken action.

A small mouse—one of her many controlled animals—had been placed nearby earlier to secretly observe Gojo Satoru and the others.

But the moment the Domain Expansion activated—

That mouse…had been instantly erased.

Not injured.

Not killed.

Erased.

Reduced to nothingness.

Even the ashes were gone.

"A curse spirit formed from humanity's fear of the earth…" Makima murmured softly, already having a sight idea as to what kind of being Jogo might be. "And strengthened by excessive spiritual energy…"

Her eyes narrowed slightly.

"The process… is quite similar to devils."

She recalled the nature of devils from her own world.

Humans feared guns—And the Gun Devil was born.

Humans feared darkness—And the Darkness Devil appeared.

Fear shaped existence.

Just like this new fascinating being.

"Interesting…" Makima whispered quietly to herself as a small curve appear on her pink soft lips.

....

Inside the Domain,

After the final words left Gojo's mouth.

A burst of dazzling white light erupted violently from beneath Gojo Satoru's feet, behind.

In less than a single second, The white light swallowed Jogo's Domain completely.

The hellish lava landscape…

The burning air…

The crushing heat…

Everything vanished!

When the blinding light finally faded—

The world had changed.

A silent, boundless cosmic void spread infinitely in all directions.

Darkness.

Stars.

Endless space.

It felt as if reality itself had been peeled away living only the space behind.

Gojo stood frozen in place. His body remained in its previous posture.

But his eyes were empty.

Unfocused.

Because as soon as Gojo's Domain was activated— Countless streams of meaningless, useless information was constantly, violently flooding into his mind!

Infinite useless knowledge ravage his head.

Seconds passed.

As Jogo's eyes gradually lost all life.

They became dull.

In front of him, A swirling void resembling a black hole rotated slowly, surrounded by shimmering iridescent light.

Silent.

Cold.

Behind him—Holding Benio Adashino's shoulder with one hand to steady her, Gojo Satoru appeared casually without him noticing.

He extended his hand, grabbing Jogo's head firmly.

"This…" Gojo spoke calmly. "Is the inner world of Limitless."

His voice echoed gently through the cosmic void.

"Perception… communication… thought…All of it continues endlessly. Without limit."

Jogo could not respond.

Could not move.

Could not think clearly.

"You can't do anything here." Gojo continued quietly, without minding Jogo's state. "You can't act. You can't fight it. You can't even die properly here."

His fingers slowly tightened around Jogo skull.

"You can only… experience everything. Forever."

Then, He turned his head slightly.

"Close your eyes, Benio."

"Yes, Gojo-sensei." Benio Adashino nodded obediently.

Though she understood what was about to happen, she didn't hesitate.

Her eyes shut tightly.

Gojo's lips curled into a faint, cold smile.

Then—

He raised his hand without releasing Jogo's head.

....

Outside the Domain,

From the perspective of the observers, the massive black sphere suddenly trembled.

Then, It transformed.

Its color shifted violently.

Black…to white.

Pure white!

Then—

CRACK!

Thin fractures spread across its surface.

CRACK—CRACK—CRACK

The sphere shattered like fragile glass.

Fragments scattered into the air before disappearing into nothingness.

And from within, two figures emerged.

Gojo Satoru landed calmly on the ground.

Beneath his foot, was Jogo's severed head.

Its expression was blank. Empty. Mindless.

Like a broken doll.

Gojo rested his foot casually on top of it.

"So…" He said lazily. "The lecture is over."

He tilted his head slightly.

"What should I do with you now?"

Despite being reduced to only a head—surpisingly Jogo was still alive.

Gojo doesn't understand the reason behind it, but he just know this after looking at Jogo's sever head. He lightly nudged the head with his foot, as he try to understand the reason behind it.

Sliding it back and forth.

Clearly bored.

"If possible…" A gentle voice spoke from behind him. "Could you give it to me?"

Gojo turned his head slightly.

Walking toward them slowly, with an innocent smile was Makima.

Her expression remained soft. Kind. Pleasant.

"May I have it…?" She asked calmly, gentle. "Gojo-kun."

An invisible pressure surged outward from her presence. A dominating force.

But—It was stopped.

Completely before it could even reach him.

Blocked automatically by Infinity.

Gojo raised one eyebrow slightly. Then tilted his head.

"Oh?" His lips curled upward. "So that's it…Domination-type ability, huh?"

A sly grin appeared on his face.

Without hesitation, He suddenly kicked forward.

"Catch it, Arima!"

"Got it!"

Tsuchimikado Arima shouted excitedly, without minding the look on Makima face.

He leaped forward instantly—Spinning his body mid-air.

Then—

WHAM!

A powerful roundhouse kick connected perfectly with Jogo's emotionless head.

"Home run!" He shouted dramatically.

Gojo's face twitched. "Oi! Why are you kicking?! Get over here and catch it properly!"

"Tsk…" Arima clicked his tongue in dissatisfaction. "It's stuck on the telephone pole."

"Why should I go get it? I already kicked it!"

Despite complaining, he still walked over to retrieve it.

Gojo turned back toward Makima. His face showed a fake apologetic smile.

"Sorry. My friend likes playing football." He shrugged casually. "And honestly…These 'Mount Fuji Version' footballs are pretty fun. So I can't give it to you."

"..."

Makima fell silent. For several seconds.

"You call that… football?"

Her expression remained calm. But her eyes narrowed slightly.

Why not just say no directly?

After a brief pause, She turned around.

"I'm leaving." She spoke quietly.

Without hesitation, She walked away.

But deep inside, She had already decided.

To monitor this region more closely from now on, because

Jogo was only the beginning.

The first.

But certainly, not the last.

She understand it more then anyone.

....

After confirming Makima had left—

Gojo gently placed his hand on Benio Adashino's head. Patting her lightly.

"Benio." He spoke casually. "If you ever see that woman again…Stay far away from her. She's dangerous. A very bad woman."

Benio blinked slightly. Then nodded.

"Yes, Gojo-sensei."

She still didn't fully understand.

That woman… She looked kind.

But, If Gojo-sensei said so...Then it must be true.
