Chapter 3 - Memory

A fickle thing.

Oftentimes, just fleeting and faded images, or even just colors and sounds with some emotion or another attached.

Other times, it's just a habit—something you've ingrained through repetition:

The lyrics to a song.

Your mother's phone number.

How to hold a cigarette, a toothbrush, a fork, a knife, a gun, or a bag.

But memory is often flawed when it comes to the events or moments in your life.

You'll remember the color of your wedding dress, but not the exact shade of white the bouquet of flowers was.

You'll remember being at home cooking, but you won't remember the exact number of times you shook the salt shaker before the dish was just right.

You could remember the awful car wreck that took away your loved ones, but you won't remember what you ate for breakfast that day.

We are forgetting far more information than we will ever remember in our entire lives.

Maybe we don't need memory.

Just basic knowledge, and a new chance at life.

Let's wipe away everything and give everyone a fresh start.
