"Those above want to know whether there might be similar Will Collectives operating behind the scenes in our world, like the C World in that other world."
"Will Collective?"
Wang Hu frowned, his eyelids twitching. He truly hadn't expected those in power to play such a high-stakes game.
Were they trying to reach into domains belonging to certain deities?
But upon reflection, wasn't humanity's relentless drive to explore the unknown precisely what propelled progress?
"Yes."
Li Chengzhi turned to stare deeply at Wang Hu, maintaining his gaze for three to four full minutes.
Only then did he turn away and continue.
"The end of science is theology. You should know many renowned physicists eventually turn to various faiths in their later years."
"Precisely because they've explored the world more deeply than ordinary people, they develop greater reverence for it."
"After all, we're not like those hotheaded youths who casually shout 'I control my own destiny'."
"What is the ultimate purpose of the Homeworld? What is the true nature of reality?"
"Aren't you curious? Even if you're not, for the people behind us, the responsibility on our shoulders is immense."
Hearing his friend's words, Wang Hu fell into deep silence.
He was certainly curious about the truth behind the world.
And he never dared neglect the responsibility on his shoulders.
People often say hearing is believing, but seeing is truth.
Undeniably, much of what we hear through rumors proves to be mere gossip.
And many historical accounts often diverge significantly from reality as time passes.
Yet stripping away all illusions to reach the essence of things, we can still perceive the underlying cause!
"Yes, our imaginative abilities are actually illusory.Wang Hu nodded and sighed.
"Ordinary people always take pride in humanity's boundless imagination, but in truth, what imaginative ability do we humans really possess?"
"All imagination ultimately returns to the real world."
"Every form of fantasy has its basis - just as fire is hot and ice is cold."
"But if someone were taught from childhood that ice is hot and fire is cold, that would become their truth."
"Similarly, the immortals in various myths and legends could be distorted accounts of powerful humans."
"Or they might represent visitors to our world possessing technological capabilities surpassing even our current era."
"As for creatures like dragons and spirits, how could modern people possibly know what ancient people actually witnessed during those times?"
"Correct."
Li Chengzhi's tone intensified, a rare fanaticism appearing in his eyes.
"Within the Academy's research division, there are teams specifically dedicated to investigating supernatural phenomena."
"And by combining technologies excavated from C World ruins with the data we previously brought back from the Homeworld..."
"Along with the elite forces of Broken Sphere and our world working day and night on research, although we haven't touched upon the deeper aspects yet."
"But it's not without gains - this mobile suit before us and what it carries within."
"Perhaps it could provide humanity with the key to witness miracles."
"Allowing our civilization level to achieve a leap, truly possessing more confidence to step into the universe!"
"That's forbidden stuff, but I quite like it."
Hearing this, Wang Hu was no fool - he understood the concerns of the higher-ups well.
Whether confined within Earth's gravity well or throughout the entire solar system.
With the East Asian Federation's strength, suppressing the entire human civilization sphere.
Would pose no problem at all, if only the East Asian Federation weren't so concerned about saving face.
The Earth Sphere would have long been unified under one banner, except the East Asian Federation didn't want to appear so desperate.
Moreover, the East Asian Federation currently bears the burden of two worlds requiring assistance.
A significant portion of their own strength has already begun shifting toward those fronts.
Yet before they could properly manage those affairs, another world emerged requiring resource investment.
Despite the East Asian Federation's vast resources, these consecutive world projects involved massive investments without corresponding returns.
This has pushed the East Asian Federation to the point where even the wealthiest landlord has no surplus.
Not to mention the East Asian Federation itself still has the ambitious South Heavenly Gate Project.
Don't think the South Heavenly Gate Project was formulated by East Asia to seize hegemony over the Earth Sphere!
That would seriously underestimate the East Asian Federation's vision!
South Heavenly Gate, South Heavenly Gate!
It's a gateway established for venturing outward.
In other words, the East Asian Federation's original intention is precisely to leap beyond the three realms and exist outside the five elements.
We're not playing in the Earth Sphere with you blockheads anymore - we're going to spread our wings in the vast space beyond.
Just as Westerners opened the Age of Exploration in the old era, now in this new era.
The curtain of cosmic navigation will be raised by East Asian hands!
To achieve this goal, we must first be able to protect ourselves.
The universe is so vast - normal logic suggests humans can't be the only intelligent species.
But in past scientific exploration, whether in the Milky Way or other galaxies.
Humanity looked out only to find utter silence...
Some feel reassured, even smugly convinced that humanity in the solar system is the chosen ones.
Perhaps the entire universe contains only humanity, and this world exists solely for humankind.
But others maintain doubts, even to the point of losing sleep over it.
Think about it - when you're thrown alone into wilderness, what's your first thought?
I believe most people would choose to hide themselves.
And what fate awaits the first one to expose their presence?
You can't expect everyone to be friendly, just like indigenous peoples in history who rescued foreign arrivals at critical moments.
Nor can you demand that those you rescue must repay you with kindness afterward.
So mountains may crumble and people may flee - only by mastering sufficient power yourself.
Can you handle any situation with ease!
Especially when Jupiter 01's evidence proving alien existence was placed before the world.
The anxiety of the upper echelons had reached its peak!
True pioneers concerned about humanity's world would inevitably consider whether extraterrestrials had long since arrived among us.
They are now quietly watching us!
For this reason, the East Asian Alliance needed more and stronger power!
Only with the capability to confront them directly could they engage in secure and equal dialogue with the visitors.
Otherwise, who would bother with an insect that could be casually crushed?
"Has the solar sail from D.S.S.D been retrieved?"
Since the higher-ups were preparing for a major move, Wang Hu decided to contribute all his strength within his capacity and offered a reminder.
Regarding the Homeworld, the upper echelons likely still held some reservations.
But there shouldn't be as many issues with the inherent power of their own world.
The solar sail was a technology specifically developed by this world for space exploration.
There was no reason for the East Asian Alliance not to acquire it.
"Solar sail? Are you referring to that double-dealing third-party independent research institution that receives funds from our Allied Forces, Orb, and PLANT?"
"But the Radiance Transmitter developed by an organization that always favors outsiders, right?"
Li Chengzhi's mind was filled with too much intelligence; he had to think for a moment before recalling what Wang Hu meant by "solar sail."
"Right."
Wang Hu slapped his forehead, finally remembering the exact name for the solar sail in this context.
Why did they have to call something as straightforward as a solar sail by the name "Radiance Transmitter"?
"It's that technology that captures photons to propel the unit forward and maintains constant thrust."
"Isn't it said that, according to Newton's first law of motion, a unit using a solar sail would accelerate indefinitely, eventually reaching speeds sufficient for interplanetary travel?"
"I recall the data stating that after activation, it accelerates only 0.5 cm in the first second, but after one minute, it reaches 18 meters away."
"After accelerating for an hour, it would be 64 kilometers from the starting point, moving at 128 kilometers per hour, and once operational, it can accelerate indefinitely."
"Even achieving unlimited range, with no other drawbacks aside from the sole side effect of making the unit glow."
"Yes, that's what the data says."
Li Chengzhi lowered his head and suddenly added another remark.
"Rumors suggest that the Coordinators' Genesis received some technical support from that organization."
"Genesis was also modified from something similar to a Planetary Engine."
"Can't be helped. Humanity always uses the most advanced technology to kill its own kind."
Seeing his friend's displeased expression, Wang Hu understood his feelings and offered some consolation.
Just imagine investing in your own side, only to have many of the resulting technologies immediately acquired by the opponent.
No one would feel good about that.
Then Wang Hu mentioned another technology from that organization, which in his eyes was the cornerstone of silicon-based civilization.
"By the way, I remember they also have a technology called Guider Unmanned Deployment Autonomic Manipulation."
"That is, the Guider Unmanned Deployment Autonomic Manipulation."
"It's a new type of nanobot, advertised as capable of self-repair, self-replication, and even possessing individual self-awareness."
"They can make appropriate judgments based on current situations autonomously, just like humans, without requiring manual control."
"The higher-ups have been monitoring this for a while, but couldn't reach a decision."
Li Chengzhi clearly understood Wang Hu's purpose in bringing up these two technologies and promptly explained.
"The first technology isn't problematic. It happens to be suitable for testing with our allies in the Breaking Ball World, and can also serve as a rehearsal on our end."
"It's the second technology that's concerning. If mishandled and combined with MOSS from the Breaking Ball side, it could pose uncontrollable threats to us."
"Understood."
Just imagining scenes reminiscent of I, Robot made Wang Hu shudder.
He then skipped these topics and turned his attention back to the new mobile suit before him.
"Care to introduce it?"
"Certainly." Equally reluctant to dwell on unpleasant issues, Li Chengzhi began his formal explanation.
"The key point is the new system developed based on the idealistic ability known as Gasses."
"Research shows that Gasses abilities target individual humans and respond to each person's inner desires, generating unique capabilities."
"Such as Lelouch's Mind Control, Mao's Telepathy, and so on."
"The only exceptions are C.C. and VV, who serve as Proxies of the C World—their bodies are immortal and eternally indestructible."
"Of course, due to limited samples, we haven't been able to study those two in depth yet."
"But consider this: In idealism, can humans and humanoid weapons be treated as equivalent?"
"I Think, Therefore I Have!"
"Hiss!"
Wang Hu immediately gasped, thinking of an intuitive term.
Suppressing his excitement, he pressed further, "Can it really achieve that level? I Think, Therefore I Have?"
"No, it can't." Wearing a peculiarly eerie smile, Li Chengzhi got the reaction he expected—Wang Hu's "are you kidding me?" expression.
"But at least we've brushed the dust off the doorframe, haven't we?"
"A miracle is about to be in your hands!"
