C98: End to it all Pt5, Rest Little Baby

A strange calm falls upon the battlefield as I take multiple breaths to regain my composure. I look towards Kosm before looking back at 'it's' child. I reflect on the recent flurry of attacks I had unleashed. It was an impressive feat.
Regardless, the results speak for themselves as the swaddle around the child shifts to allow freedom of movement, the placenta, which had turned into a necklace at one point, re-emerges once more and grows in size to match its original gigantic state but the same cannot be said about the child's body.
I can clearly see that my previous assault had completely shattered its health bar to the point of disappearing completely yet unlike all other bosses, he didn't actually die. I look back at Kosm and a sense of understanding crosses my head as I keep my gaze on the dead elder god.
"RAAAAGHH" The child roars and begins sprinting towards me but I just stand there. His smaller stature makes this more comical but I don't even pay attention to him anymore. I already turned towards Kos' body. I returned the saw cleaver to my inventory.
I drop to my knees and swipe my hands around, moving the sand around a bit before setting my axe down in the small sand pit I made and covering it in said sand, burying it.
As a final test, I bring out the Holy Moonlight Greatsword and bring out it's moonlit state as it's lined up with half my face. "Hmm, yea. This is the way to go." My lips quiver in fear. I look towards the running child, still dragging it's weapon above it's head, ready to smash it on my head.
"Hush little baby, Don't you cry.
Momma never left you and wants you to smile.
Hush now little baby, Don't you cry.
Momma punished the bad men, they will suffer ever so.
Hush now little baby, Don't you cry.
My little baby has fought hard but Momma failed to protect you.

My voice melodically swings out on behalf of Kos and when I finish, I look towards the lonely child and say my final words.
"I'm sorry", the child stalls his steps completely just 2 feet away from me as I lift the moonlight sword and cut my throat, personally this time. Tears run down my cheeks as I begin to choke on my own blood once again. Yet I'm not done, as to ensure, what I believe to be my final death, I hold the sides of the blade and run myself through the heart, falling forward above the sand buried axe.
'If this is my end, then I hope I can at least be with Maria, wherever she is now.' I think my last as I use chaos to activate an effect that I saw once before but didn't do anything as I wasnt sure how it worked but I have a guess now,.

Within an instant, the orphan of kos finds itself lying down beside kos, snuggling up against the dead body as it joins it in eternal sleep. The black cloud that emerges from its body too is destroyed instantly as it meets a happy ending, an eternal dream of accompaniment.
The blood from my body vanishes as the axe disappears alongside it. A dark light sweeps through the nightmare as it too disappears. Only a single mote of light remains, huddled over and dragged away by a group of messengers.

regarding the stones. I will be counting them from the moment this chapter is released. when 150 is finally obtained, ill repost these lines with updated text and a new stone requirement. so try your best if your curious...and no, my own stones do not count. I do it to keep my books relevant if at all in the hundreds if not thousands of other books/fanfics out there. Simply because im probably one of the few authors that even writes a soulsborne novel that hasnt died so far...
