Chapter 7 - Starting The Quest

Arriving home, she then distributed the food to her family and ate happily. It is still Sunday today, so her younger brother, Ehtan, was present. After they finished eating, Ehtra then took out the money she got from selling the diamond.

"Wow, this is the first time I've ever seen that much money!" Ehtan said while controlling himself from squealing.

" It is also the same with my grandson. I'm already this old, but this is also my first time seeing this much money," their grandmother said humbly.

"Me too, Grandma and Ehtan. But let's go back to the business. Take all of this, and I'll take some. Please accept it, or else I'll be really worried with you two once I leave." Ehtra said while forcing her family to get the 400,000 Lehr and taking the rest for herself. She knew her family would properly spend it, so she was not worried at all about leaving them with such money. They could now live happily and peacefully without worrying about what to eat every day.

Her family could not do anything but accept it, seeing the worry and determination in her eyes.

-------

Fast forward to the evening, Ehtra's consciousness was again in the void space, talking to the other guardians.

"My family already knew that I'm leaving. What should be next?" Ehtra asked.

If you're ready, we can start your quest anytime. The mermaid said.

If you want, you can leave tonight. It would be harder to part ways when your family was aware. The fairy said sadly.

"You're right. My brother and grandmother would really cry hard, and I couldn't handle seeing that. I might not leave if that happened." Ehtra said sadly.

It's for you to decide, child. We can wait until you're ready. The dragon said.

"No, I'm okay. Let's start this quest tonight! Ehtra said after composing herself." Ehtra replied resolutely.

Okay then, we'll first guide you to the uncivilized forest in Lesthrea so you can first train the powers we bestowed upon you. The Pegasus said.

Prepare your things first, and then we'll immediately proceed. The mermaid added.

"Okay!" Ehtra said readily

Ehtra then woke up from her sleep in the middle of the night, prepared her things, and wrote a farewell letter to her family, which she then placed on their dining table so that her family could immediately see it in the morning.

Going back to her room, earlier today, the dragon guardian gave her a space ring where she can place her things; hence, she just put everything she needed in the space ring.

Informing the guardians that she's finally ready to go, they then guided her to a certain forest, and she immediately teleported there.

Leaving the room with no sign of life.

 --------

Arriving in the middle of a forest, Ehtra immediately felt the cold breeze. Fortunately, the ring that the dragon guardian gave to her does not just serve as a ring space but also as a temperature stabilizer. So Ehtra immediately felt at ease and talked to the guardians with her consciousness.

"Everyone, where are we exactly?"

We are currently in the eastern part of Lesthrea, in a forest called RIzuelle Forest. Practicing your powers here openly would be really safe since no human has ever set foot in this forest. The guardian of Erethrea said.

"And why isthat?" Ehtra asked.

Because this forest is known as the home of the fiercest and venomous animals. The guardian of Soethrea said.

"A what!? Don't you need to inform me of that before sending me here!?" Ehtra asked in astonishment.

Ha ha ha, chill, child. You don't need to worry about that. I bestowed you my power, remember? It's the Zootic power, meaning, no matter what kind of animal it is, they would not dare to attack you. The guardian of Usethrea, the bunyip, teasingly said. The other guardians tried hard not to laugh, but they couldn't help but smile at Ehtra's adorable reaction because, for all of them, she was just a child.

"Oh my goodness, you almost had me have a heart attack there. If that's the case, then everything is fine. But where should I stay for the night? I could barely see anything." Ehtra said while tapping her chest from the earlier scare, while looking at the crescent moon that barely lit up the forest.

You can teleport your physical body to the void space, for now. The fairy suggested.

"I can do that?!" Ehtra said while in shock.

Yes, child. Though staying in the void too much with your physical body is not recommended because it's the place between the dead and the living. If your body stayed too long, the space might recognize you as its own, and going out would then be difficult. The Griffin said.

"Then, I would not stay in the void space. Let's not gamble on that. Instead, do you have anything I could use there so I could comfortably stay at the branch of one of these huge trees?" Ehtra then suggested.

I think I have some. I could use the vines to create a hammock for you. The fairy said.

Then I shall give you some of my soft feathers so you can rest peacefully. The Pegasus added.

To prevent mosquitoes from biting you. I'll ask them to stay away from you and not to surround you throughout the night. The bunyip said.

"Thank you, everyone! I really appreciate it!" Ehtra thanked them wholeheartedly.

They then prepared everything for Ehtra so she could sleep peacefully tonight. She then teleported to the hammock that the fairy guardian prepared, which has the Pegasus's feathers that make it comfortable for her to sleep in. Lying at it, she had the best sleep of her life thanks to all the guardians' efforts.

The mermaid softly lulled her before she fell asleep, the dragon's ring kept her warm, and the unicorn and Griffin stayed at the void space to protect her throughout the night.
