"Is this even legal?" Jason asked, trailing behind me. "I mean, she could say you kidnapped her children."
I paused, turning to look at him. Jason gave a small shrug. "She didn't give you permission to take them."
"Good thing I don't need her permission," I grunted. "They're my children, and I can do as I please with them."
Jason frowned, shaking his head. I looked away from the confusion on his face and glanced at my watch.
It was already 3 PM.
Harper should be leaving the doctor's office by now. She must have gotten Clara's call and was probably already on her way here.
Good.
A small smile crept onto my lips. I could almost picture her—furious, cursing me under her breath as she drove back to a place she probably thought she would never step foot in again.
The thought of having her here again… alone with me in my room—our room—finishing what we had started in the car before we were interrupted…
Because I knew damn well we wouldn't be talking.
